I’d add execution quality to that list. A strategy can look fine on paper but if you can’t stick to sizing, stops, and defined conditions over a large sample, it falls apart. For me the hardest part early on was not the setup, it was respecting risk the same way on trade 1 and trade 50.

I get the point, but this feels too absolute. A rules based strategy can be executed manually with a checklist and hard risk caps. What is the best time to trade forex | Forex

I don’t really trade at a fixed time yet. I just check the charts when I’m free. Some pairs definitely move cleaner during the London or NY overlap, but for me it’s more important to wait for my setup than to chase a session.
