Since one year i make contest whit the same broker and rules are
One lot max
5 open orders max
20 tradings lot of more than 10 minutes
sometime they are free or 5 or 10$ fees but if you have more than 10% you can have 1% bonus deposit in your real account
Never see so much complains from there
I think you are referring to FXOpen 😄.....I used to participate in their contest.
Yes, limiting the numbers of open positions and lot sizes does make a fairer open field to all contestants and helps contain super-duper EA/Robot traders.

Where did you see that i was whining "like a baby" and "passing personal remarks", you should read your own comments first if you search for that
I just said that i lost precious time, that's not whining, if you don't care about your own time this is not my issue.
Anyways, this forum is pretty unfriendly so i was not surprised with the answers, i'm out of here and good luck to everyone in the future

Dear all,
It is to our knowledge there are issues in the contest with some trades due to server problems which causes unreal performance. The contest will be on hold whilst we are investigating further and will be restarted from the beginning on Monday 30th March.
We apologize for any inconvenience and we appreciate your understanding.
Best regards
FX Choice Ltd.
And why this contest still running? Why FXChoice won't stop and disable trading? FXChoice admits they have server problems but they are not doing anything to stop this nonsense. I haven't seen weirdest broker than FXChoice.
Best part what they said is "are issues with some trades"..Some trades? Issues have been over a week now and we are not talking about "some trades" we are talking about thousand of trades what are made by top guys.

The contest organisers will be posting here shortly telling us about the decision to restart the contest on Monday. I think most of us realise that the competition was bad right from the start. Stop losses and trailing stops were being ignored, constant lags in data feed and other issues.
I just hope that the announcement has all of the rules spelled out and, more importantly, I hope anyone competing takes the time to read and understand the rules.
The organisers can set whatever rules they want to impose. It is, after all, their contest and their prize money. But, some of us take contests seriously and are out to prove that our trading methods (manual or computerised) are capable of producing consistent returns over the duration of the contest.
Bring it on!

Wow, again I fear everyone is misunderstanding the actions/intensions of this broker (FXChoice). Personally, from what I read and understand from the statement from FXChoice, is that the "contest is on hold".... and will be "restarted" (or continued seems more like the correct word) on Monday the 30th of March). So I predict they only halted the contest to correct the problems with their servers, and they will probably continue the contest on Monday with all the current trader positions and results exactly as they are, which in my opinion is the right thing to do.
It is very interesting to note how everyone is responding to the latest development in this contest. It is clear that most of the so-called "childish Traders" as theriver80 so eloquently put it, are very passionate about having the contest re-started from scratch. This strong emotional expression about having a second chance to "re-start/try-again/do-over" the contest by these traders are probably (and this is only my own casual personal view) the reason they blew up their accounts or at least perform poorly in the contest. So even in the unlikely event that the contest will start over from scratch, Mr. TheRiver80, I am sure that the leaders like you and Mr. CicliForex have nothing to fear, since you are such "good" traders with such a "Think & Work Hard" attitude, that you should once again attain such incredible results.
On the other hand Mr. TheRiver80, a wise man once said "the rich will get richer, and the poor will get poorer". In your case, and any of the "leaders" of any of these contests. those with large accounts will inevitably produce unreal results in these contests, simply because they gambled and by chance won big in the beginning. Therefore the so-called "Think & Work Hard" philosophy you admirably advocate for yourself and Mr CicliForex is an illusion that only exists in these contests. I assure you sir, that you will NEVER be able to do this in Real Life, with Real Money and Real Emotions. What you and the other leaders in this or any contest is doing is pure gambling, and has nothing to do with trading in real life.
However, I will be personally very disappointed if FXChoice, re-starts this contest from scratch. I agree with you on one point. You and the other leaders had a good start (gambling or not aside) and you are in a deserving position to win the contest. I feel that the correct thing for FXChoice to do in this situation is to correct the server problems and continue with the contest as it currently is. Whatever the outcome on Monday, the way they handle this situation will be a reflection on how reputable the broker will be perceived in future. If this situation happens in real life, surely the broker will not "give back" everyone their money, and hit the re-set button on all accounts. Such actions will result in endless lawsuits and they will probably be shut-down by the regulators.
To the so-called "whiners", regrettably you blew up, or are in the process of blowing up your accounts. Accept it... in real life there is no such thing as "starting over".... your gambles unfortunately did not work this time
To the leaders, well done, your gambles paid off so far, wish you all the luck in winning the contest...
To the non-participants in this contest, you made a decision not to participate, so perhaps it would also be wise not to participate in the on-going "whining"....
And to those traders who may be sitting on a smaller profit percentage (i.e. 5%, 12%, 23%, etc.), I wish to applaud your efforts in this contest. You are the true winners, by sticking to your trading principles, rules and strategies. Keep up the good discipline and stick to your guns, for you will be ones who will produce sustainable trading results on your live accounts in real life.
Peace out, good luck trading all

My, my sir, you are a sensitive one aren't you? You are of course entitled to your opinion, as am I. It is unfortunate that you think that I directed my comments at you personally, since I cannot remember mentioning you personally. I never defended, nor did I accuse FXChoice or anyone in this contest of anything. I merely stated the fact that everyone is taking this DEMO CONTEST far too serious. As far as your comments are concerned, it seems that you are an expert on the "great injustice" done by FXChoice, and at the same time I fail to find your name registered for the contest. It seems like you either did not register, neither took part in the contest yourself, or perhaps you just "magically" disappeared from the list of competitors.
Whatever your reasons are for targeting me in your "independent investigation" into the "unforgivable injustice" done by FXChoice in this "critically important DEMO CONTEST" run on "demo servers", I welcome your debate on this matter and wait in great anticipation for your expert judgement on these "inhuman injustices" inflicted upon us by FXChoice and their "DEMO CONTEST". I sense you will unveil to us soon how this matter will "disastrously" impact my real live trading career, and for that matter the rest of the traders in this contest.... since I am clueless and a complete noob, in your opinion, I should perhaps relay your concerns and "expert opinion with all your concrete evidence" to my own broker FXPro, which by the way have no affiliations with FXChoice.
Best regards and good hunting to you sir on your conquest for the truth! 😉

"i didnt said you were noob or something i jst said u dnt have an idea why fx choice did that it was coz their servers were having problems due to tht the price feed was slow which was probably manipulated and since u didnt traded in this contest u didnt know as i saw ur profile it showed 0% and yet you are comenting why they did it and it was injustice and talking about whining and all tht was the main reason for making personal comment i jst wanted to make a point speak something when ur in tht situation or u have seen it or facing u cant jst post ur assumption on anything i hope i cleared my point if u felt insulted about personal remarks accept my apologies sorry about making a personal remark but i felt saying it like tht to make a point hope u understand it not an intention to hurt any one "
I assure you sir, I am in no way offended by your comments, so no harm done. And like I said before, all of us are in our own right entitled to our opinions, that's what makes modern democracy so great... freedom of speech. My not taking part in the contest was made nearly a week before the contest, since I did not agree with the account verification rule. So, in that regard you are correct, and I fully agree with you that it would be unfair to use Arbitrage Trading Methods in this contest, which ,as I understand it, is not allowed in this contest.
On real live trading accounts this will never be allowed, so in that regard you are correct as well. My previously, somewhat long-winded explanation of my own opinions was simply to emphasize that these contests can never simulate live trading conditions, and if anyone serious about trading takes part in them they should view them as a "fun way" to blowing off steam from the stresses caused by the emotional roller coaster of live trading. It seems therefore silly to take a demo contest so serious, as this can only impact negatively on your own "trader state-of-mind" when you trade on your live account.
I am no expert or professional on any form trading methodology, but I can testify to my own experiences with live trading. The biggest enemy trading with real; money is your own emotional state-of-mind. I learned to reject any negative influences that may impact my live trading. So my point is just this, and again I emphasize these are my own personal view on live trading in general. Trading like a gambler will only result in the eventual (and inevitable) complete loss of your account equity. Anyone serious being consistently profitable knows or will learn that it can only be accomplished by trading a well defined trading strategy based on a solid risk/reward profile. It just pains me to see how traders (especially new traders) are disillusioned by the "success" of winners in contest like these.
So here is the big point (or punch line if you wish) in all my elaborate comments. Anyone who takes part in these contests (and no I did not because of reasons previously stated) should remember that these contests are meant to fun, and can never reflect the realities of live trading.
So in conclusion sir, with all due respect to you and your own opinion and believes, my debate on this issue was never intended to be perceived as an insult or belittlement to you or anyone else for that matter, including FXChoice and its personnel, but rather to point out the inherent flaws of these contests, and that we, as participants (myself included) should not allow ourselves to get carried away by the workings or results of a demo contest.
Just a sub-note, I did view your MyFXBook profile, and from what I could learn from my brief review, you seem to be a seasoned trader with trading principles similar to my own. It is for that reason that I welcomed a debate on the issue, even if we had different views from two different aspects, I feel you speak from experience, and I can only hope that new traders will take note of your valid perspective on this matter and learn something important from it all.
I wish you the best in your trading, and trust you will be as profitable as you are passionate about trading...
Best Regards

One of the few good points I've seen made here. The guys who use EA's, bots, HFT, whatever you want to call it are part of the real world system we trade in, so I don't have a problem with them. In reality, we're all competing against ourselves, but it's fun to look at the other traders stats and try to learn something new.
I hope FXC restarts the contest from scratch, just for the purpose of everyone starting from the same level and conditions. It seems from many of the comments made, that there were technical problems that disadvantaged some contestants from the beginning with order entries and other server issues.
If we're all a little more patient, I'm sure FXC will work hard to sort out the problems and host a successful competition.
