About MAE/MFE
Good question — MAE (Maximum Adverse Excursion) and MFE (Maximum Favorable Excursion) are metrics that help you understand how much a trade moves against or in favor of you before it’s closed.
MAE shows the worst drawdown per trade — how far price went against your entry.MFE shows the best unrealized profit — how far price moved in your favor. In short, MAE helps evaluate risk tolerance and stop-loss placement, while MFE helps refine take-profit strategies.
You can compare both to see if you’re exiting too early or letting losers run too far.
I don’t have charts to attach here, but if you check your trade history visually, try marking where price peaked and dipped per trade — that’s basically what those charts quantify.if you have any further question or assistance you can reach out to me later
