Speaking from an Elliott wave perspective (and in don't think EW fits well with forex market) we are now in a 3rd wave down, and will be very difficult that a 4th wave retracement will be able save us. But we'll see!!😕

I bit the bullet and bailed out, I am not going to potentially risk my entire equity on one trade. The larger trend is effectively very bearish and even the Asian session retrace will probably not save it much. Tapering by the largest economy in the world does have resounding effects, and this EA made a trade right before that decision announcement (extremely bad in my opinion, especially considering that it was commonly agreed that the tapering will continue).
Losing half your stack is devastating, but it's not catastrophic. Here's to coming back to fight another day (with a lower risk), and good luck to the rest of you with the retrace!

Good luck with the hedge, you will probably need to find a good entry point which is usually the key. I've also got two other smaller accounts and I am letting them ride, hoping this will somehow resolve itself.

the worst batch in the history was -113pips for the trade 1 and -89pips for the trade 2, so a cumulative of -202pips.
currently its -122 and -91pips... so they break they record :)
strangely... my second trade has only -55pips not -91!!! so opened far lower than the official account one...

Lucky you. You can modify strategy - open low risk orders, but after second order it keeps going dow, open more manual positions with same or even closer tp :) if sphantom is so lucky, and will hit tp every time, you'll only benefit from that "addon" orders, or be safe earler :)

@pilotas - of course, and I'm not trading with scared money either. However, last weeks loss should have warned them not to trade news, and it didn't.
Especially as there was evidently a time when they were more careful.
Look at the curve of their chart, every now and then theres a big glitch; but you'd hope that each time they'd analyze what went wrong.

Agree, trading just before the FOMC was mad.
However its probably my fault - every single EA I buy tanks as soon as I buy it - I bought this one a couple of weeks ago - sorry about that!
I'm only on 10% risk - so not catastrophic.

I do not believe into miracles. There are no such systems in reality with so quick and so big gain with no or small risk. You want less risk? Then you will get less gain or in longer time. But here is even worse. Potential 1, and only 1 loss is greater than all accumulated gain made before, so statisticaly in long run you will have slower or faster, depending on risk, saw style balance chart. And eventualy sooner or later it will end up with burned account. So the best tactics here is grab and run
