Australia Wage Price Index Climbs 1.3% In Q3

(RTTNews) - Australia's wage price index was up a seasonally adjusted 1.3 percent on quarter in the third quarter of 2023, the Australian Bureau of Statistics said on Wednesday.
That was in line with expectations following the upwardly revised 0.9 percent increase in the previous three months (originally 0.8 percent).
On a yearly basis, wages rose 4.0 percent - beating forecasts for a gain of 3.9 percent and up from 3.6 percent in the second quarter.
Private sector wages rose 1.4 percent on quarter and 4.2 percent on year, while public sector wages added 0.9 percent on quarter and 3.5 percent on year.
