yeah its hard but u need to practice to do that ....n its good also that u never move ur stoploss wider.... n if u can predetermine ur take profit from the beginning... mainly u need to train ur self to be a robot... everything mechanical n do not let ur emotions to interfere... for intraday trading.. consider volatility n every pair daily range as basic frame to trade with...

maybe this will make u more calm... try not to watch ur charts all the time... suppose u trading 1h timeframe... so u just come before candle close with reasonable time.. to check ur strategy, open trades, or manage ur opened trades...for me it took me around 10 mins every hour... am trying to avoid looking for the charts during the hour, since thats really playin in my emotions.. !

its another debatable issue... back-testing :Dfor me i would backtest for one year, it would build my confidence of a certain strategy , n would give me a good experience for different trade scenarios..

back test that ... try to take ur profit at pre-assigned level once... then try to scale in as ur point 5... compare both results...

if i may share my thoughts, but i would like to test the scale in strategy once,i would take some points into consideration, suppose as u said i would risk 1% of capital as max exposure ( in all my trades i wouldnt risk more than 1%), so i entered a trade with 25 pips risk which is already 1% risk of my capital... then the trade went into my favor with 25 pips, i would move me stop loss to break even so that my risk now is zero, right?! but i still think the trend will continue, so if i wanna scale in i will put another trade with 25 pips risk again (1% risk) so both of trades have the same st...

what u r doing is a well-known way of trading they call it scaling in and scaling out of a trade, the problem is u r risking 40 out of 80 GBP, it means 50% per trade thats too much!!!!hmmm about when u should take profit n stop moving, this is a debatable subject... some traders prefer to assign take profit level before entering a trade ( advantage: not to let emotion to interfere, n making the system much more mechanical system)...some traders manage their take profit n stop loss as the trade progress they call them hybrid traders,there are many ways to manage ur take profit as ur trade in pr...

i guess u need to lose some trades n practice how to handle that emotionally, since eventually u will face some losses, but the idea iits not preventing losses, but its only how to minimize losses...to give u a general idea about how to place ur stop-loss...when u decide to enter a trade, u can use closest support n resistance levels, which in ur case the boundaries of the shape or the pattern which already broken out signaling ur entry...make sure to aim for 2-1 risk-reward ratio... so that if ur win ratio was only about 34% u will break-even,,,Good luck :D

most traders saying the average is between 10-15% per month, am not convinced with that.... am aiming for 40% per month, n i could do it for the previous 2 months in row ;)wish me luck for the third month :D

how do u identify a trend, and how do u identify a range?!what does make u say the trend is started, or a range is started?!what does make u feel the trend is ended, or a range is ended?!what does make it a real swing high or a real swing low in uptrend or in downtrend?!detailed replies are appreciated....

is it so stupid to say am struggling to identify trends, i mean to be confident n comfortable about a recognized trend, maybe its just coz am perfectionist always looking for prefect shapes which will never exist.however, let me say it in this way am always having doubts about some trends, n i couldnt to reach a high level of sanctification when identifying trends,any help will be appreciated...!

i mean ....which time frame u start from?!then u drop till which time time frame?!how often u maintain n update ur lines?!do u draw ur lines n line chart or candle chart?!do u consider wicks or not?!or u just depend in a certain indicator?! :Plets see what u ppl r doing ;)

am sure this indicator is available...an indicator to calculate the average size or length (pips) for candles in a given period... i dont mean the distance between high, low, or open price or anything related to price... simply the pips of that candles...for example let say we got 5 candles...1. move 5 pips to north.2. move 7 pips to north.3. move 10 pips to south.4. move 3 pips to north.5. move 15 pips to south.the indicator will calculate the average in 5 candles period like this:(5+7+10+3+15)/5.n it would be great if u have option to include/exclude the wicksthanks
