I have talked about drawdown even before the competition started. I even suggested drawdown be included in the selection criteria of a winner.

IP tracking. - agree, although there are ways to mask it.Gamblers in casino - agree, if you are not a professional card counter or poker playerTrading is not a zero sum game - agree, nothing to disputeThere is no risk. - Seriously? Even a decision to turn on your PC has risks of you getting electrocuted, just that the risk is so small, your gains of having it turned on to allow you to utilise it outweighs that of you dying from electrocution. Cannot see how any serious trader would agree to this statement.Anyway it seems we are all wasting out time on what he does rather than improving ourselv...

He made a huge gamble, and it paid off. If you really wanted to game this competition, you would have created 5-6 accounts using different emails, make crazy bets, hope for one account to hit a high % return, then stop trading. Just a numbers game. But his hope of being a profitable trade in the long run? Near zero I would say. That being said, there's a chance that person is actually a profitable trade in his real accounts, just that he doesn't take that kind of risks on a daily basis.

I agree with you. I took part in another competition before, and the winner was just a gambler. He had 400+% return in 3 months and a huge drawdown (can't remember the exact number but quite sure it was > 30%).I think a competition is meaningless if the overall % increase in account is the only yardstick in deciding the winner. I am joining just to see what kind of traders are out there and for the fun of it.The organisers should look at introducing an additional rule of "not more than 10% or 20% peak-trough drawdown" to try and sift out gamblers winning on luck.
