If the expert advisor is a scalping ea based on indicator signals you could set the take profit parameter to take more pips, say about 5 pips. In that way after the commission comes out you would be left with a profit.If such settings is not allowed in the ea then most likely it is an arbitrage ea

Since your balance is about half of signal provider's balance setting the multiplier to -2.0 should produce approximately the same drawdown but half of the profits of the signal providers'.Keeping the multiplier to 1.0 should give you about double the drawdown but approximately the same profits as the signal provider.
