Brokers with Servers in NY or LD

I agree with baldo, brexit has nothing to do with placing servers. as per my knowledge servers in LD4 and NY are considered the best, even the broker I trade with, their servers also in NY and LD4 facility and I get phenomenal execution.

5000 ms slippage is huge. Generally, you will not get this much of delay in execution. It takes usually couple of 100 ms from the time you place the order and it is executed. If you say 5000 ms slippage is ok, I don’t buy and I strongly believe in this case there is high probability that your broker can be a market maker.@beebird Slippage depends on three things according to my knowledge:- Liquidity in the market which means availability of counter trades. Hello Ok4XTrader,That depends on which social networking platform a trader is using. For example in MQL5, there is a particular subscription cost that a trader has to pay for following a trader. And like in case of zulu trade, you can open up a live account through a broker only and when you open live account through broker, you pay additional cost either in form of spread or commission which is sent to zulu by that broker and then given to the traders who are being followed.

Hello,Getting direct account with LMAX is good but it depends upon your requirements. According to me open an account with LMAX has the only advantage of “ low Latency”. However, open an account with LMAX is not an easy, they do have minimum capital requirement to open an account. In addition to that they do have maximum leverage restriction, according to what I heard from colleges, the maximum leverage they can provide is 100X in some currencies, 50X in some and 33X in some. Mine best pairs are EURUSD and USDJPY and one of the reasons for these pairs are that they are most liquid FX pair with the lowest spread leading to low trading cost.

when I choose a broker, there are certain things I look for including spreads, execution speed, commission charges and if there is any persistent issues of slippage or off-quotes or not. I use their demo accounts first and if feel comfortable, I switch to live.
Do you prefer fixed spreads or dynamic spreads?

In fact brokers with variable spread are also not completely reliable. They can also be MM and trade against so you should check for their spreads as well very carefully when trading with them.

in my view, dynamic spreads are more preferreable than fixed spreads as in case of fixed spread, there is 99% possibility that your broker might be a Market Maker. Also, it can affect the execution speed and one more thing I have noticed that they are not really fixed, if you notice them in them in the volatile time like news, you will actually get fill at another price
