Yes it’s true that one must demo trade for as long till he gains enough confidence. However, even starting with the small real account should be taken time. If a trader is not confident then he must not get indulge in live trading so early.

Yes, that’s also a very good point to be mentioned. Requotes are inexistent in demo but one might often get requotes in live account. So always go for the broker that offers least slippage or requotes in live account. If you notice a lot of slippage in live account, then it’s time to switch the broker.

Yes absolutely, demo and live accounts are more or less same. The difference is psychological as while trading in live account our real money is at stake which make one feel more concerned. However, yes having well developed strategy can make you succeed and overcome this psychological barrier. Demo accounts can also be used for testing strategies before going live.

dynamic spreads are the real market quotes so there are no chances of markups. many ECN brokers even provide spreads on major pairs starting from 0 pips. However, i do not prefer fixed spreads as brokers manipulate them. I prefer paying nominal commissions additionally rather than having fixed spreads.

I personally prefer Economic Calendar (www.investing.com) the most. However for reading good quality informative articles and analysis one can go for the market watch & fxstreet. Analysis by Kathy Lien is also very good and gives clear picture of the currency market.

Thread is apt. beginners ruin their trading by bringing the emotions in role. It is very much important for the traders to control their emotions while trading. Discipline and self control are very necessary in trading. Beginners usually ruin their accounts initially due to emotions but this seems as a lesson for them to first learn and then trade. Experience is the best tutor and here also it applies well. Controlling emotions is not easy but we must restrain ourselves.

Of course everyone search for an opportunity to convert losing trades to profitable ones. Sometimes it is not that easy to judge which trade is losing and profitable, but once you are consistently making profits on a particular trade and total losses are increasing in amount then it’s a signal that you are making losing trades. However, there might be chances when you make few losing trades in between then it is not necessary that complete trade is loss making. Always take risk as per your loss bearing potential.
