The British pound was up against the US dollar on Friday. By the close of US trading, GBP / USD is trading at 1.2396, gaining 0.31%. I believe that support is now at around 1,2106, Tuesday's low, and resistance is likely at 1.2405, the high of Friday's trading.

In anticipation of the President's speech the United States, major currency pairs traded in limited price ranges.GBP/USD is consolidating in the range 1,2412-1,2450. The mood against the pair remains negative due to the growth of EUR/GBP. It will change in a positive way, if there is a break above 1.2452. Increasing the price above this level could provide a fresh impetus for a breakthrough to 1.2480.

EUR/USD was indecisive yesterday. Price traded lower earlier this morning, reaching 1.0576. The bias is bearish for testing the 1.0520/00 area, which seems a good place to place long position with tight stop losses. Resistance for the day is 1.0600/20, whose breakthrough could lead price to neutral trading zone for testing important 1.0680 level. On the downside, a clear break and daily close below 1.0520/00 would have to open the door to 1.0400 - 1.0350. Overall I am still neutral.

Dollar/yen had a bullish momentum earlier today, hitting 113.70. Trade signals are up for testing 114.00/30 in the near future. But overall I still prefer a bearish scenario at this phase and any upward pressure should be seen as a good opportunity to short positions. The nearest support is at 113.35. A clear break below that area could lead price to neutral trading zone testing 112.65.

Pound/Dollar had a moderate bullish momentum yesterday, topped at 1.2482. The bias is neutral in nearest term. Immediate resistance is seen at 1.2520. A clear break above that area could trigger further bullish pressure to test 1.2580. On the downside, first support is 1.2435. A clear break below could lead to bearish pressure testing 1.2380/40.
