Trend following strat doesn't work no more?

As a novice forex trader, I tried some strats based on price action. Mainly influenced by Turtle Trading system, I started trading based on their simple strat for forex, indice, commodities however, it didn't take a long time to turn out the strat didn't work as I expected. If your trading style is based on trend following strat, what's the most profitable strat you're using? It will be helpful if you give me some clue about this.Thanks!
