My strategy: Basically, I analyze the currency pair by the terms of trade, inflation and interest rate of the countries involved. I use a mathematical model to find a relationship of this data to the data of other pairs. For example AUDUSD and NZDUSD, the largest trading partners of Australia and New Zealand are the United States and China, so the two pairs have a strong correlation. Next I assemble a model that tells me when to arbitrate between the two pairs, so I buy one and sell another.
