Another unfortunate statistic regarding loss of money and trading - a financial fraud is committed in the UK every 15 seconds and between January and June this year there have been 1 million such scams reported. Who knows how many remain unreported. (https://smnweekly.com/2016/09/20/financial-scam-committed-every-15-seconds-uk-watchdog/) A large percentage of those are Forex and binary options scams. Under such circumstances is it surprising that traders lose money?

The pair just broke above the previous high at 0.8630 and it's still climbing. I am keeping my long position open for now.

I don't know, I am almost getting to that point but I am not totally calmer. Although I am significantly calmer than before. I chalk this up more to emotional exhaustion than to actually learning how to be calm though. :D

There's a clear doji candlestick on the 30-min chart below 0.8560, the pair will retrace back to 0.8530, in my opinion.

Another big reason newbie traders lose money, apart from lack knowledge and experience, is scams. Take Australia, for example. Back in 2015 Australians lost over $229 million due to investment scams. (https://smnweekly.com/2016/05/16/asic-report-on-australians-losses-from-investment-scams-2015/). Newbies are the most vulnerable group in that regard, because most experienced traders can figure out at least the more obvious scams and have learned to trust only reputable, regulated brokers. Newbies often have no idea what they're doing and are easy prey, unfortunately.

Information like this comes out sooner or later. And if it comes out sooner sometimes consequences are felt months and months later. Take FXCM, for example. After the Swiss Bank unpegged the CHF from the EUR they lost big and were forced to take loans to remain afloat. It's been nineteen months and more since then, but the CTFC charged them with undercapitalization during the crisis just recently. The pair is back to testing the resistance at 0.8460. If it breaks out above that level it will reach 0.8500, I think.

I would recommend doing so only if you see that you can profit consistently over a considerable period of time. And even then open a small account until you get used to trading with real money.
