My aim is to simply beat the S&P500 index on an annual basis.
Ultimate goal is to have an average of 2% profit a month; or 24% profit a year. Having a 200k funded account translate this to an average of $4,000 profit a month; or $48,000 profit a year (pre-profit split).
By capping my loss to 1% a trade, I let myself stay longer in the game to let the law of large number work in my favor. Having a profitable strategy with positive profit expectancy also means that even with a losing streak, my wins will be larger than my losses eventually, bringing my account back from drawdowns.
