Yes coronavirus negatively affected on my trade. Now I have almost stopped trading. The market is now so volatile. I did not even expect this at first. 😕🙄🙄🙄🙄
That's much better. Just give it a break than to incur losses.

Yeah I agree with you. I have almost 2 weeks break. Only a few tredes but loses.
Now I'm boring. I want to trade as it was previously. Want to strat soon.

I am able to scalp some pips nowadays
Sometimes just small amounts sometimes 1% daily.
I do not like it. I like long term systematic trading.

I am finding it very difficult to not trade now though. The huge price moves just make me think of all the $$$ that I am missing out one

You don't have to like it, take what the markets gives you, the market doesn't owe you nothing

In this situation, it is difficult and even impossible to guess exactly which way the price will go.

Hi Anastasi,

I trade mostly scalping related trades now. They have a lifetimes as open trade between 2 seconds and 300 seconds. To be able to control this way of trading, I use EA. I do normally OK with this type of trading when it is volatile market.
I also use another setup for trading less volatile markets.

I just started a new account now, and as you can see, there is volatile situations, but the system seems to be able to control this quite 'angry' market.

I have created this system using different controller components. The system as it is now has become fully automatic, but the total product is quite complex now.

And yes, trading is still worth to do, but you need the right tools as usual.

Good luck!

Erik

Thanks for clarifying.
It is good to hear that I was wrong. As for me scalping is a losing strategy. Could you show how it works?

The market is kind of unpredictable in this state we are in. There are a lot of businesses that have been affected because of the coronavirus. There was certainly an assurance that the market is bound to be affected if it has not already been. It wil take some time before things get back in line. I have suspended my trades for the moment because I cannot take any risks.

The markert is not as stable as it was before the outbreak of the coronavirus. Just because the market seem stable des not necessarily mean that it is.Take a good look at the market first before you make any trades. There has not been much of an effect on the market according to how i see it.

I do not know about you but hings are not looking good on my part. What happens when the brokers get the virus. Who is going to be our brokers then. It may be bad if you had already started trades only for things to go bad. I would keep off trading if I were you.

Brokers will stay open. They are almost all automated. What isn't can be done from home. My min problem is that the volatility is so high that SL need to be huge in this market now

Broker is an institution.
It can't get virus,
though employees could and perhaps computers can get program virus.

The thing is not about brokers but markets.

There's nothing wrong with the markets.....just reduce your position size and trade
