Hiii ,am interested in meeting with people who trade for living ???? is any one here doing it ???
Yes, I am a professional full time Forex and Futures trader living in Chicago.
Yes, I trade at the institutional level- aka I trade for a proprietary group in Chicago.
Yes, I make money consistently - month over month - year over year.
No, I am not a market maker or broker, I trade outright currency crosses and futures, I do not hedge at all- not even in options.
Trading is not gambling, unless you make it gambling. Professionals always have a statistical edge... we (professionals) are the house... The house has the advantage because its disciplined... it does not make "decisions" like the player / gambler does... the house lets its long term statistical edge play out. Is the HOUSE gambling? To me... no.
My credentials: http://www.myfxbook.com/autotrade and http://www.myfxbook.com/members/autotrade/ambush-capital/1036189 #1 ranked auto trade system on myFxBook (I am not bragging just trying to lay down that I am not just puffing hot air)... Look at my stats... That is what sustainable trading strategies look like. Will I make the highest %? probably not... Will I be the fastest gainer? probably not.... But what I will be is the trader that 5 years from now is still here. I know that sounds harsh... but its the reality of the "slow and steady" model of trading I employ.
The truth is this is a public website - that is overwhelmingly (I would say 99.99%)- non professional retail traders. Just be careful of who you listen to and what is said.

Really 99% non professional? and you say "(I am not bragging)". That's a hefty does of ego my friend.
Ambusg, this link is just for you. Unzip the folder and check out the 15 monthly statements from IBFX. I put this up once already but it seems like maybe you missed it.

Oh, compare the win/loss and pay attention to the dates.

Dont mistake confidence for cockiness friend.
Not sure what you are looking from me with your trade record? (honestly are you asking me to figure out your stats or just review them?).

99% is fairly accurate. The majority here is 'fooling around' (although they might only admit it in hindsight). chasing one failed robot to the next with a 1000 usd account is typical here.
@Ambush_Trader . Nice account. avg win bigger than avg loss + equity curve above balance curve are things every trader here should admire.
Everyone has heard of "cutting losers and letting winners run'' but not many here practise it.
Im also going to employ this more often next year. So far ive only been managing drawdown

Curious how would you define a "professional"? experience, education, working at a fund/bank, employing institutional grade risk management? because i think everyone uses a different definition.

Professional traders are the same as professional working girls. Could mean female managers but we all know what is generally meant. If the professional traders are working at Bear-Stearns (now Dead) Morgan-Chase or any of the other wall street brothels, professional is a negitive term.
