maybe you're a little bit wrong?

IB (Introducing Broker, IB) - this is the official representative (agent) of the Company, which carries out independent activities to attract customers to the Company. For activity introducing broker does not need to have a license (broker, dealer, etc.) of a professional participant of the financial markets and not have to be a legal person.

How to earn IB?
Introducing broker earns from trade customers, that is, the number and volume of transactions the client: the more active client trades, the more commission IB-partner.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Example:

A client trades EURUSD, renumeration for 1 lot amounts to $12. For the month clients trading volume totaled 50 lots. Therefore, the agent's commission for the month makes

Commission =50 lots * $12 = $600
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
'so that clients who want me to manage their money open an account there which is 'linked' to me and sign POA (Power of Attorney) form, according to which I legally trade their accounts'

Correct. There is a share of execution fees too, but I chose to just use the minimum amount possible (0.1 pips) and not quote wider spread, because main profit goes from the management not from the execution (which is not too frequent anyway, only around 20-30 trades a month).

is that for real? 😄😎

Absolutely.

I have never heared about the that POA system through IB. So how you actually trade those funds? Where do you clients money is? Do they still have separate accounts and you trade them as a pool? And what other rules apply?
Do you trade trhough API? In which category your account is with Alpari? How come Alpari UK doesnt say anything about this method on their site?

Clients money is in their own accounts opened with the broker. They simply provide account data to the manager and he trades them. Trades are done through Metatrader Multiterminal which allows simultaneous execution across multiple accounts with multiple proportional sizing options. Alpari UK does say everything about this method, but you must contact them directly, apparently they consider each request individually.

I think trader must inform client that he earns from volume trading. I think t is no good for the client to have such fund manager.
Profits should come from making money for clients alone.

Of course, clients are not only aware of the compensation structure, but also sign the paper where it is clearly described. I don't have issues with clients anyway though, because my goal is a limited amount of relatively large clients only who perfectly understand the process and won't be a headache for the manager. :)

You completeley missed the point. Every forex newbie knows what IB is. The talk is not about IB. Its How to manage money through different system than MAM/PAMM.

that's an IB (Introducing Broker)

that's about 'Money Managers'

It feels like the most secure scheme for both client and a manager in my view and also there are no execution issues like those which tend to occur with intermediary platforms like Zulu.

this is a very controversial issue!

every system of money management has hidden moments.
they are dangerous for both the investor and for the money manager.
it depend on the situation.

for example:
How managers can do high rank
in 'The PAMM Account Ratings'?

it's easy: open 8 acc.s with lat's say 300$ deposit. (The minimum amount for a Alpari PAMM)

half (4 асcounts) sold and half bought.
and so 3 times.
what do we get? and we will get one acc. with a profit of 800% 😁
this can be done in just a few trading sessions.......

but as you understand,
it's just a gimmick.
and misleading the investor😉 😎

Correct. I applied to Alpari UK in order to register as a Money Manager (originally planned to employ Oanda's fxmanager platform, but they told me back in July already that they're going to 'reform' it and I correctly guessed it meant 'close down' as we all know today).

Alpari UK model for money managers seems to be: you register as an IB and clients register with you as an IB legally with the compensation plan including profit share. At the same time clients sign POA to legally give you the right to manage their money. That's how it works. At least that's what they offered me and I just followed that path. Technically it works very well, both me and clients are satisfied with that model.

Those 'investors' who would invest without any serious analysis of manager's performance (gains achieved through plain luck are very easy to spot I believe) definitely deserve being 'managed' like that. 😀
