@LukeRachel Yes intraday charts creates more trading opportunity but it can also be the reason for over trading. That's why intraday trading needs strict discipline.
This trading option is worthy of attention, just like any other option. It is more important that the trader knows how to work correctly in this way.
Trading use lower timeframe mostly used by scalping trader, almost timeframe used is M5, and M15, although some trader maybe uses M1, but very rare because giving higher noise in the analysis, meanwhile not all trader suitable with scalping, it could lead trader to fall in emotion if always fail.

I like 5m-15m i think when you have a strategy that fits this time frame it can strike a good balance between discipline and patience
What are the advantages of trading in a lower time frame, and can I make consistent profits when trading with lower time frames?
First you need to understand what style of trading you have and what strategy, and then draw conclusions.

Scalpers mostly use lower timeframes because of quick profits, but it is also risky trading with lower timeframes since most of the trade is like gambling.
AurelieFrancis posted:at first i would have said you are right but after learning a lot more it would depend on how you describe scalping traders, see i now am what you would call an intra day trader and only trade London and New York sessions. with this i drop right down to the 1 min chart to find my entries to keep the SL tight. it could be looked at as scalping but in no way am i gambling

Why do experienced traders trade at a lower time frame? Is the market more volatile and profitable during lower time frames?

Lower time frames are a bit difficult to trade; it is essential to get more accurate information about price action. However, the timeframe depends on your trading strategy as well.
BarronLucas posted:Agreed. Also I think 1H is the best optimal to get the result. Sometimes 3 mins can be good too.

Oh lower timeframes can be used if you're scalper. But for fulltime traders it's difficult. On the lower timeframes market more volatility and shows wrong picture of the situation. It can be used for 15-30 min, but not much more time.
So dont' listen to that men who say you to trade on 1m-30m timeframes.

Yes lower timeframe is usually used for scalping traders, they like to use M5 or M15 for scalping trading, try to catch opportunities up and down wave that occurs, but usually, scalping traders need good support from brokers, not all brokers allow scalping, and this is needed fast execution order too. Sometimes I try scalping in my STP account FXOpen, but mostly I am trading as intraday trader.
