@MarcellusLux I've noticed that you often trade currency pairs involving the JPY, but it seems like you rarely provide detailed analytics for those trades. Can you share your thoughts on why that is?
GBP/JPY is once again reaching the resistance of 172.800 and in my opinion does not have strong priorities for further growth for a while. The current area of resistance puts strong pressure on the market and during May this level was not passed. I will consider this level as a marker and further growth can be considered only after it is broken. However, in the long term (weekly and monthly) MACD and EMA point to buy.
On the short term charts, I see a MACD divergence that formed during a horizontal move along resistance, with a slight bullish incline.
In order to consider further downside, I would take a close look at the hourly chart which indicates MACD sell but the EMAs are still below the price level which provides some support and a fall could be considered if the EMA 100 marker level is passed on the hourly chart (now at 172.015) and further breaking through the EMA 200 line with the prospect of falling to 171.250 (still within the current horizontal trend).
Summing up, I would clarify that the short term hints at a fall following the divergence and the impact of the 172.800 resistance, but the long term, where the monthly chart shows a preliminary MACD buy signal, can still return to a continuous increase, which can be strong enough to reach 175.000.

Thanks for sharing, @MarcellusLux! Your analysis on GBP/JPY is really helpful. Keep up the great work!

What do you think about Artificial Intelligence? It is becoming more and more popular every day. Can it write an EA?
EA development process is not the most difficult thing in trading and, theoretically, a well-developed AI could handle it. But whether it can properly manage it is another matter.

Why can't artificial intelligence be able to adjust using market data? This is an electronic representation of economic processes. What prevents AI just like you using indicators and rules of technical analysis?

But how then to find errors and correct them? It needs a person anyway.

I'm not agree with you. Errors are also some kind of systematic mistake can be processed by AI.

The market does not always move according to technical analysis. There are also some movements that are difficult to predict and calculate, such as news releases or economic statements, and which have 3 phases (before, during and after) of influence

Oh what do you think about trading without indicators? I believe the absence of indicators will have a bad effect on the quality of trading. And you will start loosing profit.
Technical analysis includes many other tools for analyzing the market, scanning and identifying the proper trading points. Automatic indicators are just some kind of micro-algorithms that speed up and facilitate the trading process. However, trading style is not important as long as your profits are consistent.

WHAT? Can you name at least one EA that can independently set up to market changes and error corrections?? I cant.

I do not know the advisor which could so. But LUX trading system is excellent. And if this trading system could be implemented as an adviser, I would not hesitate to buy it. In the meantime, I'm thinking about to cooperate with Marcellus.

Oh I am an old school guy. I do not like to use advisers in trading. Because I believe the machine has no 'intuition'. This is an algorithm of actions, nothing more. And it is programmed by a person.
But I can tell you even if AI is not yet writing Expert Advisors, it is only a matter of time. We live in the 21st century, technology is progressing every second, no matter how I or anyone else resist it.

If I know that the next movement more likely is unpredictable than has any trend, then I will refrain from trading or will make changes in risk management to avoid possible large losses. I rely on my algorithms and technical analysis, but sometimes my methods can be inaccurate like any other trading system in the trading world. That is why sometimes there are losses that are important to accept and work on so that the profit always exceeds the probable and actual losses.

@Antony2000 New? Established from 2010, so it's 13 years now. VFSC regulated. It's not FCA of course, as we all know well, but a financial regulation too. Now there are enough regulators. We cant always consider only 1 or 2 regulators to be good. Otherwise, in such a case, we must deny any progress, you know. 😀

It's not about which advisor can do it. And that the trader can be a substitute for AI. And in the future this profession will suffer.
