i have realized one thing in life and this occurs with everything....

if you become someone who sells something, or someone famous like an actor, singer or anything else...even a friend to many people, not everyone is going to love you or like you....there will always ALWAYS be someone who will dislike you, criticize you, bag you out...

i have accepted this as a fact of life...and sometimes, maybe more often than sometimes the negative is heard more louder than the positive

because i have accepted this as a fact of life, and a part of life, when i do hear a negative, i most often dismiss it or ignore it because of the above reasons...there will always be someone negative....always

There is no more profitable industry than the EA industry...this is a fact. Do you wanna win? I assure you that you don't need win more than 50% of times. What you need is risk management. Simple like that. This and price action. Nothing more.

@bracker Very silly comments like yours might mislead people who are trying to learn how to trade the right way....Your comment shows that you know nothing about Forex. You are one of those guys who believe that all you have to do is just trust your account to some EA and sit back and enjoy profits.... You assure that you don't need to win more than 50% of times?-yes,I agree that even if you have 49% you can still be in profits if your R/R is 1:2,1:3 etc which is not the case for this EA and many others.
'What you need is risk management' -this and price action-nothing more' -makes me rofl as well:)Well,we all were new at some point, but I am just gonna say this:
Money management does not make a difference, unless you have a smooth equity curve.Unless you are a consistently profitable trader, money management really does not make any difference in your trading.
GL with your trading guys and don't listen to people who have no idea about trading.

Hey, I'm relatively new here but I've browsed these boards for a while and thought I'd finally jump in on the conversation.

I'm not new to trading, but would consider myself new to EA's and automated trading systems...and in the last year I've been some what of an 'emotional roller coaster'; in the last year I've tried at least 10 to 15 EA's on the Metatrader platform and wasted countless hours of research and not to mention, money.

It doesn't take a genius to work out the EA industry and their clever tactics. Any of these sites or vendors promoting automated trading systems will have glossy performance equity curves (which I've since learned are bogus), and even if these EA's work for a short period of time, they eventually blow up as market conditions change (I've learned that system coders curve-fit their systems to current market conditions).

I've never had success with any kind of automated system, and I've never met anyone that has so far.

As my journey continues I'm learning more and more that the best traders of our time our manual traders who apply discretion to each and every decision. Some of the greatest hedge fund traders, like those guys in the Market Wizards, traded with their instinct and were just reading the charts. As one of the guy's blogs that I've been reading says, 'The traders and investors interviewed in the market wizards books largely had a discretionary and discerning approach to the markets. In other words, when you boil it all down, they were making judgement calls in the market, and very good ones at that. They were not using ‘expert advisors’ or automated trading systems, and for good reasons.' ( You can see the original blog post: The Truth about Automated Forex Trading Systems and Robots - https://www.learntotradethemarket.com/forex-articles/truth-about-automated-forex-trading-systems-robots )

Look, I'm open to the idea that there might be some automated or mechanical systems out there that do work, however I'm sure even those good systems still need manual intervention and tweaking on a constant basis to adapt to changing market conditions. So, for me, I'd rather stick to reading the price action on the charts.

I read that article. And at the bottom you will see an ad for the authors course in how to trade forex. I guess everyone is trying to sell something. Of course he wants you to believe auto trading systems are no good so he can better sell his course. Since following and using Dougs EAs I get exactly the same trades as his accounts. I don't believe they are faked. And I don't beleive I should rely on them solely. I have been manually trading the last three months and hope to begin trading with a proprietary firm next month. I think EAs can make a nice base to your manual trading. If you have the money management skills to not risk overagressively. You should look up Kirill eremenko. Another highly successful trader who only uses EAs. I don't beleive he sells them. He's never tried to sell me one but does teach traders how to code their strategies into an ea.

Some EA's and robots do work and work very well. I'll name one that I found and like namely: Zephyn Scalper. Firstly, you will need to setup a cTrader Demo account with FXPRO, if you don't already have one (I make no money in this). Install the Zephyn Scalper CBot, set your risk and click to start. It's not difficult, but once you have it set right, you will be very happy with the results..... I have backtested this many times just to make sure I had it set right, and right now, I'm forward testing on a demo account. I'll be interested to learn how other members find this robot.

@Martin
many scalpers work great on demo, but not on a real account.
Try with a real account (maybe a cent account) and then you can tell us if this scalper works good or not.
The differenece between who your are and who you would like to be be is what you do

You're right that most of these people are selling something, but it looks like the guy you mentioned is also selling a bunch of things. You said you 'dont believe he sells them', but I looked at this site briefly and saw several courses for sale. There is nothing wrong with a trader selling a course or information provided it's actually going to help people gain knowledge, I certainly needed help and I am glad there are intelligent people out there offering it. None of that is my point though... My point is that EA's fail over time and if you read the article i linked to last post you'll see why I feel that way.

EA's fail over time is what you said, but if fails after you turned 7k into 70k then it isn't a failure. Many people take for granted what these EA's can do. Clearly the manager of this account has done very well and his followers are all making money, but the reality is when ever you are following someone and you make a few doubles you should withdraw right away.

With everything in life you will find good and bad, EAs are no different. Its wrong to blanket all EA's the same. I have found with EA's and robot, to get the best from them you must monitor them daily and make minor changes when needed. Don't blindly leave them running and expect them to make you money otherwise, for sure the will crash your account.

would you please answer that

Just another faked Synergy FX account statement. If you go through the trades and sort them by ticket number there isn’t a single gap between the deposit on 21 April 2013 and the last withdrawal on 11 December 2014. Even the five withdrawals have consecutive ticked numbers.

None of this should be possible unless either the account statement or the account itself is a fake

I purchased this EA. The result is real but just that results in recent months are not promising. I am still observing this EA.

What a waste of money this has turned out to be. After a very good start with around 90% return within 3 month on my account, then nothing since.

If you got 90% return, than how was this EA a waste of money? Unless you account size was small....

Yea seems like the trend changed from uptrend to downtrend on the hour chart and the software thought it was just a pullback. However, the euro had been the strongest currency since Friday and the dollar was 4th. As far as relative strength. So I was surprised it got stopped out.
