Manual trading indeed might be a good solution for you. You can use an automated system to send you alerts but it might be better to make the actual trade yourself.

It is worth saying that using an EA has its advantages. However, a trader who clearly follows the rules of money management and his forex strategy, has a sense of the market and high discipline will always outperform almost any forex advisor. So I would advice you to trade manually, and you can use advisors a little less often. This way you will be 100% confident in your actions and trading.

If you have created the EA on your own then, only you can fix the error. However, if there is a programmer, they can help you.

Your reasoning is correct, in fact manual trading creates confidence in yourself. And confidence can make a trader successful.
