I Really Need a Mentor That is Making Money

Hello

I been trading for 5 years and I was full time. I learned everything on my own but I realize I need a mentor someone to help me be more consistent and take me to the next level. I can not learn from someone who is not a multi millionaire from trading. My belief is -- you can only lead someone as far as you have gone yourself. I believe I need to be tweeked .... not trading 101 ground zone, unless my mentor deems it necessary . I'm looking for someone who is really passionate about help someone succeed. If your mentor does want or believes in you then you won't succeed. Anybody who is making money and has time to spare to screen share have a few trading conversations and help me get to the next level. It is much appreciated ..

This is just an evaluation of what you posted...it appears that your issue is psychological and not technical. Needing to be tweaked and more consistent sounds like discipline...if you were trading full time at some point, you obviously have skill. Not being rude or trolling just observing.

I'm not that good at trading yet but I think finding a multi millionaire mentor may be limiting and hard to find. In my experience, mentor's and mentee have mutually beneficial relationship. So unless you're bringing something to the table for the mentor, it may be hard to get one willing to mentor you. Having said that, when I look around the world, I often see mentor (coaches, teachers, tutors, etc...) help the people they train achieve excellence without they themselves ever achieving that level in their life. Being successful, doesn't equate being able to pass on that knowledge. There is an art in teaching others. (I've been a high school teacher for 8 years now).

From the sound of things, since you once traded full time, I too think that your issue isn't in your skill, but your psychology/emotions. You probably just need someone to make you aware of your blind spot.

A mentor might need to teach you from scratch, they can only teach you what they know works for them, you may have picked up bad habits that need to be looked at,it sounds to me like you are making basic mistakes in your trading,I could have a look at your trades then I'd know right away.

Agree here. Don't think there are lots of mentors standing here free and waiting for someone to call them for help/advice

Most traders know what they are doing wrong without any mentor if you take the time to look at your history.
I just saved you about 5k on advice....

No need to search for a mentor if someone strictly follow the 3 steps:
1. Pick any standard mechanical system available for free and modify a little as per your psychology
2. Backtest it with 'Forex tester' for at least for 5 to 6 years of past data
3. Next, continue to forward test the system with demo account until you duplicate exactly the same results of forex tester to your demo account

If not, then probably no mentor might help and someone will just jump from system to system and mentor to mentor.

Finally, if the mentor is wise and experienced enough in forex trading as a manual trader, then he will also give very similar advice what I mentioned above in the 3 points and apart from that he might give some additional confidence and access to his own system to the trader if he wants.

The person Im looking for wants to help someone to succeed not self-fish thinking people.
There are people out there that despite what you may think will help someone - How do I know because I do it in other area for people, I looking for a GOOD Person like myself. Not a Christian most of you are most likly christian. You know say you love God and the bible and say in the same breath ... I dont know who can help you nor make no attempts to help a person. As long as you attend church you feel your a good person

Do you think Im going to think negative and not attempt to find that person ..... Do you think thinking negative or believing something is not possible will make you are great trader

All of yall have the answer yet none of you are mulitmillionaire from trading and if you are and you read this post your most liky some type of religious person and or cares about nobody but yourself

But like I said ....... Im looking for a Good person willing to help me succeed with out looking for something in return. Ask yourself when is the last time you helpped somebody become successful without wanting something in return. I do it all the time

Its a very few of us out here GOOD PEOPLE .... but that is who Im looking for

But such traders usually gain more by trading than advising
You can of course fund someone who gain more by advising you than trading but is such advice worth it?

From your latest post I think I have an idea why you can't take it to the next level. You seem to have a lot of assumptions about us even though you have very little information about any of us. I mean really? Christian? God? who said any of that? If you have this mentality when trading the markets, it's probably hurting your trading. The market doesn't care much about your assumptions of it.

Helping someone for free doesn't make you a good person. It probably make you an enabler and you're most likely helping the person to become dependant on you rather than becoming independent. People learn best when they have something at stake. Like I said, finding someone who is a millionaire doesn't necessarily means that this person will be able to teach you properly. Teaching is an art. You can learn a lot from other traders from those with few experiences to the veteran trader. There are a lot of teachers/mentors that can help you get to the next level without themselves ever being able to get to that level. I am not one of those people.

You seem to have the kind of personality that ignores the learning opportunity that is right in front of them while pursuing to find that holy grail learning opportunity. You may need to look inward to find the answers that you are looking for. Sometimes all it takes is for someone else to look at you from their perspective and help you become aware of your blindside. Try talking to other experienced traders, they might pick up what you yourself have missed.

a good book would be ok for you ,you need to control emotions and greed first,it applies to to any trader

if your not a millionaire from trading .. one ear and out the other --- I don't listen to people who dont have the results I want ... if you can't or are not willing to get me to my goal .. Why would I listen to you and why would you respond your not a millionaire.. I might as well grab a random person of the street and say give me advice on trading

You don't need to be a millionaire to mentor someone to trade Forex,some are on their way to that goal ,if you believe that a millionaire will mentor you ,will be waiting a long time for someone to teach you,that's like saying Conor mcgregor needed a world champion to train him to win, a random person on the street hasn't a clue about trading so no comparison in your example, traders here are giving you free advice so have some respect.

I don't think all the books in the world can make a great trader - people who read those just want something to copy and when that doesn't work onto the next thing.

The best traders in the world spend the most amount of time watching the market - speak to the brightest minds and build up a database of what the markets should do vs what they actually do - this does not come naturally to many.

Personally it has never worked for me to have someone sit next to me and watch what I do - the knowledge gap and dedication cant be taught easily ... plus in banks it is sink or swim - so someone who has been through that way of learning lacks alot of patience if you know what I mean... so you might get a few people who couldn't make it in the real world offer to help you but that is about it.
