Yes, I am pretty comfortable as long as I make money , lol . Need to protect equity I do get it now. Very important.

I believe I should implement partly mechanical approach with profit taking as I have been testing on ND which I posted. take half position off at 1:1 risk and lock a bit. DD on the first account would not happen with this kind of approach. Probaly should enter with 2 positions one having stop loss and take profit and another one left to run.

Also thinking of how to add to profitable trades on pull backs while keeping risk acceptable. profit taking on additions same rules.
I was able to pyramid successfully few times would like to make it more systematic. The best one is when I traded back my DD completely before the last drop on that account.

I got stopped out of e/j and closed all other trades. doe snot look convincing. I do not sense e/u gonna break 1.3400. will be waiting.

I think guys should pay attention to what eur/aud is doing. this pair might have great potential. trend most probably turned long on weekly and few last hurdles left. It is the only part of my last round I left after closing half and I will add more if price continues climbing.

I got out of my trades just on time. Before the conference. Been in up to 3% floaitng however closed at least than 1%. Quite a few trends seem reversing and I am waiting for signals to then wait for entries. I am already long gbp/aud. actually added to my first position. Next week is promising to be an interesting week.

btw, I am trading crude / CL yet again, but on different platform. T4 to be exact. it's been second week now. So, I think the name of the thread is still relevant at least for me. 😀

I suspend my longer term trading as it looks like a conflict between my day trading and trend following exists. Has been within really short distance of monthly goal on oil but dropped. same reason, was not taking profits past and this week. was doing some real good trading but seems greed bug stroke again. hard to believe actually. I trade London but not Brent so NYMEX is the most important market and I do not trade NYMEX time. London does not make such a big moves on CL so I need to be quick to take profits before news and Nymex open. was looking for more constantly. I will concentrate on oil day trading and also I can day trade FX too so I moved money to another account. will post my oil progress as it goes and if have 6 months of good FX day trading results I will reconnect my account. I am going ot trade FX in similar manner to oil but without pyramiding. I am pyramiding with oil.

ok, back to my place. just closed my e/u long. will post some of my trades . it is live.
closed 5-6 pips below my target. still 47 pips. been long before in the morning twice but both times closed for -3 pips due to lkong time price not moving. still managed to get on the move.

Thank you XharpScalper. been away. crazy MOVE! I was thinking there should have been some reaction at 1.3308-1.3315 but THIS? I wonder, there might be some news came up. No news today though on FF.
I have not seen such kind of complete reversal move within one day TF for a very long time.

Moves are always unpredictable , however it looks like Italian effect IMO.

Yeah. as I stated my problems are always not taking profits and then taking losses. Hard to really get on big moves as I am mostly right about direction but timing lacking. often I cannot trade even so miss the move or lose money before the move starts. so, I noticed however I am mostly in the money all the time. just do not take them. no sense. so, I am setting targets now and taking at those targets and if price stay for too long unchanged. a bit change to entries. but mostly taking the money.

it is psychological issue. Tried too hard for too long to let profits run. need to find some balance.

started with series of small losses some -8. -8, -2, -2 and then 2 21-23 pips winners. taking profits now. think anything form 10 to 25 pips is a legit unless market is really hot and i can sense it. amazingly lost 6 ticks on oil. I decided to take only one try on my set up. short obviously. it did drop later but I was locked in eur/usd by then.
I will restart my next attempt at making living form this on August 11. it is just training and preparations for me now. mostly on profit taking part. gotta scalp. must take profits.

This is what i am up to. Had my last day today. done. should have been doing profit taking consistently long time ago. been practicing at just this.
