If your performance is consistent you want to leave it in as long as possible to get the benefit of compounding.
If you're new or your equity is all over the place you want to with draw as often as possible to minimize risk. Try get the start-up capital out as quickly as possible, then the portfolio becomes risk free.
@Elkart:That's what i'm thinking too. I also new trader that only have minimal balance so as soon I get my profit, I withdraw it so I can get my initial deposit back to minimizing 'greedy' and 'emotion' away when trend go crazy 😄 But i would keep some profit so i can get enough margin when I need some resistance when I hold some floating position.
I prefer weekly withdraw than monthly because i can easily control my balance.
withdrawing your initial deposit after doubling the account is a great idea, however i wouldnt say you minimize your greed with that. you will pay more attention if its your own money, than 'just some trading profits'.
This is also psychological. You may think it is better to hold on your funds until you have made some considerable gains, but some people lose it all back to the markets, therefore, for some it is better to withdraw everytime you win like Africa134 said, but for others it is better to withdraw monthly, or quarterly.
Now is the best time, or possibly last Wednesday 😈 Best regards Steve
