No trades in a recent week.
Why not? Something wrong with my EA?

Maybe, you are newbie to trading forex with EA.

I believe that Doug Price turned off his EA Trade Copier recent days because this week, there are many HIGH IMPACT NEWS regarding about Euro and Non-farm payroll this Friday. Also, last week, some bad news pushed GBP down too much and it is high time for Pound recovery.

So, if using VTP EA to trade Eurusd and Gbpusd since last week until the end of this week MIGHT LIKELY make LOSING TRADES, because VTP EA has no eyes to read news and react to the news CORRECTLY.

So, be more patient, and I think next week, Doug Price will turn on his VTP EA again. This is to protect his own account as well as all his clients' account money.

Not only VTP EA, but almost all EAs will lose during sudden high impact news to come.

In addition to my above thinking, did you see how fast and furious that EURO and POUND rebounded YESTERDAY? Imagine that VTP EA might think it is a retracement to move lower, and if VTP EA entered trades, it already LOST BIG MONEY and HIT STOP LOSS YESTERDAY.

So, BE VERY PATIENT !

I suggest that all of you should reduce the lot size for this whole week, and only adjust to your normal preferred lot size from next week to avoid any unexpected losses if VTP EA will place any trades in this week.

Hi all,

I know that all of us want to have TRADES everyday with big hopes and wishes that we can and will make PROFITS EVERYDAY.

But Patience and Discipline are Keys to long-term SUCCESS and PROFITS to trading forex either MANUALLY or WITH EAS.

As you can see that Doug Price only opened his VTP EA yesterday AFTER all the High Impact News came out and price of eurusd has cooled down. This is SAFE for his VTP EA which trades on Retracement, and made a Winning trade just few hours ago.

I like his way of controlling his VTP EA by turning on and off before and after all High Impact News.

So, if any of new clients (especially those Newbies) who want to buy Doug's VTP EA, I suggest you to purchase his VTP Trade Copiers to have exact same trades in same direction of his EAs. Doug Price cares about his own account and money, and so, it means he takes care of all your accounts and money as well.

This week alone, I doubled my account in just 2 days. I closed all my profitable trades, except one Long trade which is still in good profit to ride trend to above 1.13000. My account of 435 usd is now becoming 940 and more at this time of writing this message.

I saw from all forex forums that most traders shorted eurusd and all stop losses were hit hard yesterday and the day before yesterday. I myself decided to BUY EURUSD on any dips. But maybe this Friday, I will go short on eurusd when seeing reversal Candlesticks on H1, H4 and/or Daily timeframes.

Any price above 1.13000 like 1.13300 - 1.13750 IS GOOD to go short with tigh stop loss above 1.14000.

I like Doug's VTP EA, and I trade both manually and with Doug's VTP EA on same account.

Any comment from Doug regarding zero trades the last week? Has the ea been disabled in his master?

Given the news and volatility this week I think its positive if trading was disabled and welcome it as something extra we get with him managing the copier as opposed to the ea potentially blindly making losing trades. Ok, we could win big too but im only online sporadically this week so welcome the extra management.

Well, I got 2 winning trades from VTP EA from asian session to european session today. Good because I enabled VTP EA trading again this morning.

Also, I could make my account from 345 usd to become 1,400 usd at this time of writing. More than 400% net profit after 2 weeks of trading, mostly I made huge profits for the last 2 days by trading MAINLY Eurusd. I entered trades BEFORE, DURING, AND AFTER ALL THE HIGH IMPACT NEWS for the last 2 days.

Only this European session, I made more than 500 usd net profit, but I am willing to either make MORE PROFITS or LESSER PROFITS if eurusd reverses down to hit my Trailing stop.

I am aiming at 1.1440 - 1.1480 to sell eurusd if I see a clearly reversal candlestick on 1h, 4h, and daily timeframe.

Hi,

My account equity is now at 1,583 usd. While moving stop losses to protect more gains if market reverses, I accidentally closed the most profitable trades for 383 usd in one trade of 0.2 lots. What a Regret because I intend to take profit for this trade at 1.14600 which can be reached today or tomorrow.

Anyway, I am happy when trading both manually and with VTP EAs.

I have watched VTP EA's trades recently, and especially today when it entered a BUY on eurusd, and price moved down for 27 pips, but I did not see the second BUY trade on Eurusd? Anyway, today is good day for me. From around 900 usd equity, now, my account is more than 1,500 usd.
