You can go with a good regulated broker that accepts clients from the US, or you can trade with offshore brokers as well. As long as a broker fulfills your trading requirements and seems legit it is fine

I believe good trading conditions are what matters the most in forex trading.
I think you should research more and more to choose the best broker for you.

I want to suggest to you ZFX at first, but I did not pay attention to the US restriction ZFX is good but it does not accept US resident due to CFD nature for some particular product

Coinexx accept US clients, trading conditions are solid.
I'm working with Amarkets, I'm just not sure about your region, but it seems like everything should be fine

Some brokers do not accept US clients due to government regulations, but brokers outside this country are willing to accept clients around the world.
Depends if you want to submit to the confines of regulation or not. Bear in mind your funds aren't protected by the CFTC
