Johan,I am like yourself, had trades that had just activated from my pending trades which due to being closed became losers.Would not the same situation arise on a margin call and the broker close trades in order to preserve their position on that trade ?I have a good healthy account that was with Alpari but do not expect the full amount returned and neither can I expect those just opened losing trades to become winners.The Alpari segregated pot will only have so much money in it to pay out to those Alpari traders who had apositive balance.This is an insolvency where in this the real world the...

Johan,I like you have got caught up in the Alpari (UK) insolvency. I am in credit and suffered closed trades by the broker. KPMG have sent e-mails to all creditors and investors.The accounts will remain suspended until either Alpari is sold or the monies returned to investors (should take about 8 weeks).Watch FXMagnates they are on the money with all things FX.RegardsSceadagenga

Thanks Adrian for the link to Forexmagnates.I have been trawling through looking for anew broker after the Alpari Fiasco.Lets see how Administrators and FCA get the money back to depositors or settle this matter.I hold no hope for a quick solution.

Alpari is not the only one. FXCM is another. However what I find disturbing is the fact that notice of insolvency was slow to make the news and us investors are in the dark about it all.Luckily I have not lost too much as my account was quite small although I had been getting good trading results from my strategy.I have only lost what I could afford to lose. The last contest had winners whose return were far in excess of 800% (in the 1000's of %). Hi Peeterwoolf & csc2009,Just had a look at the eur/usd.seems a lot of action for the day traders but back at the opening levels.I still think eur/usd and gbp/usd too high. Eur should be lower than 1.36, GBP needs to be at 1.54.
