NFA levies $2,000,000 monetary sanction against FXCM and orders refunds to customers
August 12, Chicago - National Futures Association (NFA) has issued a Decision imposing a $2,000,000 monetary sanction against Forex Capital Markets LLC (FXCM) in settlement of a Complaint issued by NFA's Business Conduct Committee on August 12, 2011. The Complaint cited FXCM for retaining gains derived from asymmetrical positive price slippage; failing to adopt or carry out adequate procedures to ensure the efficient execution of all customer orders; failing to treat all customers equally when giving price adjustments; failing to adequately investigate suspicious activity in several customers' accounts; and - together with its principal Dror Niv - failing to supervise. FXCM is a Futures Commission Merchant, Retail Foreign Exchange Dealer, and Forex Dealer Member located in New York, New York.
In addition to the $2,000,000 monetary sanction, FXCM must credit the accounts of its customers the amount of asymmetrical positive slippage which its customers experienced on their trades from and after June 18, 2008 and provide verification to NFA of these credits. In the future, FXCM is prohibited from engaging in price slippage or margin liquidation practices, as described in the Complaint. FXCM must also enhance existing procedures to ensure efficient execution of customer orders and compliance with NFA's anti-money laundering requirements.
The complete text of the Complaint and Decision can be found on NFA's website (www.nfa.futures.org).
NFA is the premier independent provider of innovative and efficient regulatory programs that safeguard the integrity of the futures markets.

Steve, I'm assuming you're going to sell the system? You're probably not the first trading with this technique, however aren't afraid of the dilution effect once others use the same system?
thank you
as you remember I have started thıis thread to find people who are interesting/workıng on the similiar projects. and I have found you and some others to discuss the system. When I was started I was never thought of usıng ıt on DD brokers but today I am testing it. So this thread is doıng what I need. Ideas from different poınt of vies and experiences.
If ıt makes money for myself then I can sell it. I am not a smart one. you can say avarage. and the system I am workıng on is not a invention and not a secret. there dıfferent versıons/styles as ususal.
so it is not important for me to sell or not. what I know is if it works, people who helped on buılding period will get it free as a present 😄

Do you have any timeline? When are you going to start trading it live for example? As that would be the ultimate test.

sounds like you know what you're. you definetly should take your time and not hurry, especially if your system is as complicated as it looks from your posts 😁

in my opinion the effectiveness of arbitrage systems is decreasing with time as more and more traders have access to automated systems which wasn't avaialbe several years ago.
thats why arbitrage opportunities are getting bigger 😉

traders BE CAREFUL ABOUT THE ISSUE I EXPLAIN BELOW
today when I connect the VPS ın US I have seen that all mt4 platforms are closed.
I have seen that before and checked the taskmanager ıf I have connected as ghost.
there were no problem. So I opened all platforms.
and BOOM!!..
all trades were currently opened are opened agaın.
at that time I understand that I connected as a ghost but can not notıce that from task manager.
I had a good loss on my lıve trades.
Be carefull ıf you see you had all platforms shutdown on vps.
you can be ghost connected and damage your trades..

I stared reading this thread today, and this looks like a very interesting project. I agree you need as much speed as you can get, so in case you did not measure your broker execution time yet, I recommend using this tool: http://forex-expats.com/recommended/
Up until a while ago the latency to the broker was my only criteria for speed. I thought that if I'm 2 ms from my broker I'm the boss ;) Then I learned about the order execution time, and how that can override the benefits of a low latency, if the broker has either slow servers, or is otherwise taking a lot of time to execute your trades.
Best of luck with your project!

I'm sorry, I just realized the page I posted has multiple things on it.
I was talking about the "Test the Trade Execution of your Broker" script, at the bottom of the page.

thank you for the info.
yes the broker server speed is more important then our executıon speed WHILE they are using VDP. if you have look at the thread I have mentioned about that. and this month one of the market maker broker has a ticket from NFA due to manuplating clients orders and get PROFIT with negative slippage for years.
I have tested your tester. currently I am measuring that latency in my system and I have more precised measurment then the EA at the link. its precision is 15 ms and currently I have 1ms precision. it was microsecond but not necessery to waste CPU wıth microseconds while having 500 ms of latency on broker side:)
but again thank you for interest and advise. surely you can not now what I do and what is the EA precision.
walker.

ok guys
I really get bored of broker tricks due to connection failures witn no error on MT4 side and added the "AUTO PING" function into math2c.dll
I have too many tickets at brokers due to that issue but could not get any logic answer.
so I did build my solution.
what it does is system continously pinging the brokers and if the connection failed it stops order execution.
the point here is orders are not waiting for the ping return. it executes according to last ping result😇
so there is no slow down with order execution.
have nice weekend.
