Wait, so Alpari gave out $2.36 mln as bonuses since its relaunch (http://smnweekly.com/2016/04/13/alpari-gives-out-over-2-36-mln-under-loyalty-program-since-launch/) but they haven't yet paid out their debts to traders who lost their money? Really? I'm questioning your accounts, I'm just mind-boggled Alpari can be this unethical.

The Russian company has no financial ties to the UK arm that went under. Totally irrelevant.

I confess I am a little confused, didn't they start up the UK branch again?

That was my assumption, as you can see above, but apparently I was wrong. I am assuming though that both the Russian and the British company are owned by the same people, so my original point still stands - they're giving out bonuses in a whole different country while the people who lost their money haven't been paid off.

Ha, it looks like the Bank of Russia doesn't trust them either, because they denied them the license they applied for in the end of last year. (https://smnweekly.com/2016/06/03/bank-of-russia-denies-forex-broker-license-to-alpari-forex-club/) Unsurprisingly they've stated they'll apply again for a license.

I must mention : I never ever came across the term "off quotes" until recently. One of my clients are with the RU division..
I do trade analysis each morning and place trades accordingly (not this profile) I have about 4 clients I trade for. The first three are quick and easy, then I get to this one - I leave it for last. I sometimes struggle for quite a while. If I ever get another client with this broker, I will refuse.

My accounts will ALWAYS show high DD. This is done purposely to maximize our withdrawals every week.

I don't think I've ever heard that term either. What's that?

Not sure, maybe their own term? Never bothered to find out, I will just steer clear. I get this error when placing orders..
90% of the time it is because my order is probably too close to price, and it throws that error.. Understandable, I guess (Although I do exactly the same on three other brokers with no problems, my orders can even be closer to price!) but then sometimes it gives me that error when trying to put stops?!? Sometimes I try like 6-10 times to place a friggin stop, and then eventually give up and let that trade go without a stop. #whatabadbroker

Market makers tend to get off-quote if the market price have moved from the offered price as those prices are slippage free (or sometimes slippage capped). You get that at etc Oanda as well. True ECN brokers won't give you off-quotes ever.

That sounds incredibly frustrating at best and potentially like a money-losing combination at worst. :(
@stian
Thank you for explaining that to me.

So apparently the Russian Alpari has left their offshore regulation in Malta. (https://smnweekly.com/2016/07/25/alpari-withdraws-malta-will-seek-alternative-european-jurisdiction/) They don't have a license in Russia either, not yet anyway. Basically they're unregulated now. Interesting. Wouldn't it have been wiser to get license somewhere else before withdrawing from Malta?
