I wonder if anyone is trading currently?
The market is more or less dead, but I can't help it - I want to trade! 😞
If you're not trading currently, when do you think it's best to resume? 1st of January? Or maybe the 2nd?

If it moves up and down, and I can sell and buy it, I'll trade it!

I'm trading my arse off. Fx is busy today.
that makes two of us.
although the automated system runs, i find it a bit risky for my manual trading style.
i would suggest to wait until january 4th since the 1st is friday, and for a first friday for 2010 i wouldn't be surprised to see some high volatility.

Interesting.. And I thought everyone are afraid to trade at this time of year.
So your systems don't experience any difficulties with the low-liquidity-high-volatility type of market?

I'm getting higher DD than normal (about 10%) because smaller players can push the market around when the banks are on vacation but really not anything my system cant handle. This is the dangerous time for newbie manual traders though because the markets can move so fast and unexpectedly.

Yes, I agree. I would even go further and say that the same sentence applies for experienced traders also.
So your system is automated? And if so, do you monitor it more than usual because of the noted circumstances?
