I started out a bit upside down taking larger losses than wins but have turned that around recently with some proper risk and trade management.

Hello dear trader….
Unlike many system in mql5 I don’t use any kind of expert advisor.
Im a price action trader and my position open by technical reason.
I cant grow your account 100%_200% or illogical percentage in one month but by money management Principles and Risk controller safely grow your money.
No martingale,hedge,gride,or any dangerous metod become Your capital at risk….
i use stoploss in all order and never change it.
MAX OPEN ORDER:2
MAX lot:.01 for any 100 dollar in your account.
max stoploss:between 100_150 pips.
the profit withdraw every month and start with inital deposit.
this is a pamm account and you can invest at this account.
max drawdown:betwwen 20_25%.

The real loos on this account was in November.
December - I was part of the tournament with this account and all transactions must be closed before 1/1/17.
Big loss which should never happened. Live is live. This time I chose the tournament over my investment.

That is a completely different strategy even though dividing standard 0.83 lots trade entries (as seen on AUDCAD trades) into two entries with 0.44 and 0.43 lots on AUDNZD is not a classical "grid" strategy, but "smart position sizing" and "scaling in" BECAUSE IT DOES NOT INCREASE RISK EXPOSURE beyond the 0.83 lot standard position size. At that divides "grid" from "scaling in".

Guys,
Regarding the "martingales" criteria, it's perfectly fine for a system to do a little bit of martingales as long as it is not overused! Doing it properly and with a plan can help a lot the execution. Actually there are a lot of institutional algorithms doing some sort of martingales.
While if you are overusing it, then yes, it is very bad.
