Track record

Hi, I am about to open an account in which two EA's will be run. It will be an automated trading account with only some discretionary managed decision making allowed on the risk management side of things only. I am also looking to collect a real time track record to market in the future. I have the option of opening a trading account where the spread covers all costs or opt for a much tighter spread with commissions and carry excluded in the spread. For the purposes of having a more reliable track record, would it make sense to opt for the tighter spread option where costs will be visible? Or does it not make a difference? Any thoughts?
