Position trading is a style where you hold on to your trades for a longer time—weeks, months, or even years. Instead of trying to make quick profits from small price changes like day trading, position traders focus on the overall trend and wait for bigger moves.

It’s all about being patient and doing your homework. You’ll need to look at charts, market news, and economic reports to decide when to enter or exit a trade.

If you’re thinking of trying position trading, having a good platform makes a big difference. Exclusive Markets provides useful tools, charts, and insights that can help you plan and manage your trades easily.

Have you tried position trading before? What tips or platforms do you use? Drop your thoughts and let’s discuss!

Hi everyone! 👋

I’ve been dabbling in position trading lately, and I have to say, the shift from shorter timeframes has been eye-opening. The patience required is definitely a challenge, but seeing a trade play out over weeks instead of minutes has its own rewards.

One thing I’ve found crucial is having a solid entry strategy. I usually look for confluence between technicals and fundamentals before pulling the trigger. And of course, risk management is even more important when you’re holding positions for extended periods.

What about you guys? How do you manage your position trades? Do you have any specific indicators or setups that work well for longer-term holds? And what tools or features on your platform do you find most helpful for position trading?

Basically a long-term trading approach. You hold positions for weeks or months, looking at bigger market trends rather than short-term price swings.

Position trading is basically the long game of trading. Instead of chasing quick flips like day trading or swing trading, you are holding positions for weeks, months, or even years. The idea is to ride bigger trends in the market, ignoring the daily noise and focusing on the overall direction. It needs patience, a solid understanding of fundamentals, and the ability to not panic when short-term price action goes crazy. Think of it like investing with a trader’s mindset, you are in it for the big moves, not the little ones.
