First you check in my trade history.
Some difference calculation in gold trading.. their 140 pips minus 1.4 pips .
Mostly I start trading 0.01 - 0.02 minimum lot and maximum 0.1 in 1000$ account.
I use two of my personal trading system. Both are 70% to 80% profitable.
Many years experience after I know good profitable up to 90% so I trade lot size 0.05 to 0.1
My daily trading target 1% to 3% on equity .

That does not explain anything.
Negative pips with overall profit does mean martingale
Positive pips and negative profit does mean poor money mgmt

So both are covered loss each other.
