The positive trend up on both pairs is amazing and probably unforseen. A trend change is now a potential which will hopefully save these trades.
I have to be optimistic as with the brilliant run on the last set of trades I changes my lot size to high risk and am now at risk of burning my acc. I never seem to learn....
Doug must have reason for the sell trade and hopefully the AUD weakness will kick in soon.
This is still the best system of many that I have tried.

I'm learning how to trade and I have been taught to aim for initially 1:1 as target 1 and then 2:1 risk reward as target 2. Now the EA does not come anywhere near this, SL 200pips with an average win of 11.5 pips and maximum win of just 52 pips.If I have a sL of 200, my risk, I expect to get at least 200 pips in reward So, please can it be confirmed that there could be many trades between 0 to -200 pips drawdown with the ultimate hope of winning just 11.5 pips on average on each trade?
This looks a very emotionally stressful way to have trades open, but are you all OK with this?
I'm new to my fxbook and not sure if I can find out how many trades I must allow to have open to ensure I hit the published profits. I would not risk more than 1% of my account for any one trade.

@Teledav This may not be the right EA for you. He never goes for 200 pip profit; only 100 pips, and usually much less.
He uses the 200-pip SL to give plenty of breathing space for his trades. Occasionally, he takes a big "hit," one time, almost 25% DD. On the other hand, he has shown a very high win-rate.
From my vantage point, this EA is suited for choppy markets, but will take hits in strongly trending markets.
May be worth trying on a demo first, then see if it suits your emotional make-up and trading style.
Limiting your risk to 1% requires a trending pair with lots of momentum behind it in the direction of your trade. This EA is not based on that kind of trade methodology.

@Boogieman Are you sure -200 pips is -25? It seems that the risk has been reduced much (lotsize/usd per pip)
@ozboy so you lost 2500 usd because you got scared (as it closed profit)? I understand, even if you should not have done this, everything as planned. But still brain is weak and this is understandable. What will you do now? As -100 and even -200 will happen. Will you reduce risk? Or again at -100, close?
Thanks

@zyrt Not sure what you are asking. Routinely, the Channel has a 200-pip SL and a 100-pip TP. I actually had a 100-pip TP in August on one trade.
I have not experienced a 200-pip SL, but I suspect there will be one (or more) in our future, so I limit risk to 3%.

@Boogieman Sorry. I mean I think vendor lowered the risk as -200 pips used to cost 25% of the account, but now it is much less. So less risk less DD less performance. So I say value per pip was lowered. Do you agree?
@ozboy Sure, your choice. 4 accounts? You might diversify more. But hard to find good EAs/signals! But maybe you have 100 accounts then CTP in 4 is good diversification :)

I was about to departure and 5 hr flight. So, I decided to closed one trade and leave one trade.
Running CTP on 4 accounts. risk mgt: 0.5, max lot 3.
It will recover, slowly.
I still believe things will work out for CTP. His methodology may not suit anyone, especially those that cannot stomach negative big open trades. But his result has proven that his method will eventually turns favorable, more than 92% of the time.
On a separate note, I guess I'm the only one that was hit with the EURCHF unusual trade. Definitely not from CTP, and suspicious of the VPS installer or the broker. Anyone used his recommended installer and Synergyfx? How was it?

I did the exact same thing as you at the beginning when I thought oh crap! I realised I did that because I was not comfortable with the DD. So what I changed was my lot size to a level where the max DD made me more comfortable.
If I hadn't, I'd have a really big account size by now but hey ho, I'm not having to constantly look at the trading screen.

Hello all,
it just buy licence two weeks ago , it's really good EA
I see there is chance to get more profits due to DD still not exceed 20%
I just have two questions about EA settings:
from your experience with channeltraderpro ,
in the settings, for calculating lot size ,,,, lots mode = percent by balance, there's no full details in the manual
https://gyazo.com/af6ee201f239a6c9a8f2c168dfdfdd25
1- How shall I put in max risk to get expected monthly return 60-80 if my balance let's say 1k ?
2- another question , let's assume , I have balance of 1 k , and choose percent by balance , and max risk is 10 , how much lot size
would be ?
Thank you
