"Also,
Are you using thinkforex? If so then you should be able to expect the same trades. I however am using a different broker, and my trades vary quite substantially from the one the bot makes here."
Hi Am1135
I Have been using GFT for the last three months and all the same trade have been taken by this borker so this could be discounted.
I have had advise from the VPS provider on comman issues and have made changes accordingly... this seems to be down to the bot but nor 100%. Does that bot need a new activation code when moved?

Hope I'm not being too risky but FGB has been kind to me for a few months now.. I upped my lots to 0.02
I tried FGB years ago on a non recommended broker and didn't have a great time.
now on Thnkforex it's been good, although I am using a small capital...
Had an amazing day today, I just closed off everything manually trying not to be greedy and lose what I made..
Follow my REAL FGB progress on a small Think Forex account

This bot is still the best!

Thanks Robert..
Time will tell.. but its a small start up just like the vendor's account..
I think FGB does reasonably well if you are watching the charts and close out for profit early rather than waiting for the bot to close for you and potentially lose out instead.
So as a set and forget type system, maybe not a good idea..
but as a system that starts you up on winning positions, then yes it seems pretty good. just don't be greedy and close early :)
i would highly advise you not to close manualy. the exit logic is very solid and as you can see if gives one of the best results for a commercial EA. why would you ever what to randomly close positions before a statistly winning algorithm is beyond me. have you proven in any way that your exit logic is better then the original? If it is lets change fgb with it.
Seriously: there is no room for guessing in forex. In the long run there is no way you are getting better results then fgb, unless you are a proffesional trader, in which case why are you using EAs? By closing early you will miss out of the really large baskets like the one last week. you only get 3-4 pf those a year but they make big difference
compare your account with the official one and tell me it doesnt make you cry

Hi drsong123: I am new to Forex and FGB is what I have now. About to go live with an account. I have Trailingator installed but you also recommend "scalp and reversal EA".
Please give the names of the best that you know. (I didn't know originally that one could use multiple EA's on the same account and currency pair. Now I do, so this is opening up even more options.)
Thanks.

I wouldn't say its a bullet-proof algorithm.. there's no such thing as far as I am concerned..
I guess everyone has to evaluate what their level of risk is and when they wish to TP.
Im not saying by any means that my closing points are better or worse than FGB..
I've had a many times when I was demoing watching a solid winning position turn the other way..
Ive talked to many traders who like to use Fib retracements to work out when to close their FGB positions too..
Anyways.. Each to their I guess.. but I didn't miss anything last week and I'm happy with my results.
:D
Again its only a small account ive been testing with..

We all know that ThinkForex produces the most exact replica of the official account, which also uses ThinkForex.
I would much prefer to use FGB on FXCM, but don't like the idea of failing to replicate the official account.
Could one solution to this be to park a very small amount with ThinkForex, and then do a trade copy to my main FXCM account using for example the free MT4i trade copier? If this were possible, the FGB/ThinkForex feed could in theory be mirrored exactly to any account with any broker you choose. Does anyone here have any experience with this? If not, I can give it a go and report back with some results.
Best regards and happy new year to everyone!

Anyone experiment with different lot sizes? What is the most profitable when using say a $5000 (or 5000 GBP) account?
Btw, what is the MT4i trade copier?? (I am brand new to Forex, and still learning much. I missed the "basket" gleanings that FGB did: I only saw them appear after a night on my Demo account and wished I'd had real funds going...gained about 40% over night. I was shocked.)
I also have Trailingator running with FGB at the default settings. (On site says to change them to 10 instead of 15 and 4 instead of 2, but I haven't done that on the Live account yet.) This EA is very nice to have running with FGB to ensure things are not too wild. It's like backup. "Insurance", as I see it.

I will reduce the prices that I am willing to sell my licenses at. Basic edition licenses are $50. Power Edition $120

This should work fine, and allow you to mostly replicate the Thinkforex account.

Licenses are controlled via the Clickbank license number as far as I can tell. The Growthbot team hardly ever do updates to the EA, the last one was ages ago (1.8 version). Anyway if you buy a license off me I'll just send any updates through

First day of live trading on a 5000 GBP account (ThinkForex) but not on their VPS yet: abysmal near 1000 GBP LOSS!! Ouch!! Not what I was expecting after the great Demo results!! (OK, I had the lot size at 0.4, but still...)
And I had Trailingator running - still do - but had the Smart Exit on True. Maybe changing it to False will help?
All other settings on the basic FGB are default.
