Some one mentioned that MDP shows the speed of the connection? Where on the chart is it?fxlounge posted:
They are display on a trading chart of MDP by the robot itself
Not the speed of connection, but Execution Times: opening, modify.
MDP does not measure a speed of connection from your VPS/PC to broker. If you meant that, you need to do it on your own.

But it is useful if you need the distance :)

Thanks, I realised that there's 4 miles between my Pc to the broker server. Ping is around 25ms.

I have noticed that the bot sees the demo account as separate account. If you have one licence than you have to install the bot first on the live account. I have asked Mr. Morrison for allow me the bot first testing on my demo account. No response received yet... to be continued...

That's nonsense. You can use one licence on only one account. Live OR demo. Just change the acc. number on the activation page first to a demo account, later to a live acc.

Message to all those thinking of using ThinkForex. Don't do it.
Their spreads and slippage and requotes and stop-hunts have gone exponential since I first started with them six months ago.
It's now beyond a joke and I'm closing down with them.

Tonight I start with MDP on MB Trading with PhotonVPS. A ping test with the live server shows nice ping times.
ping 216.52.236.97
Pinging 216.52.236.97 with 32 bytes of data:
Reply from 216.52.236.97: bytes=32 time=5ms TTL=121
Reply from 216.52.236.97: bytes=32 time=4ms TTL=121
Reply from 216.52.236.97: bytes=32 time=4ms TTL=121
Reply from 216.52.236.97: bytes=32 time=4ms TTL=121
Ping statistics for 216.52.236.97:
Packets: Sent = 4, Received = 4, Lost = 0 (0% loss),
Approximate round trip times in milli-seconds:
Minimum = 4ms, Maximum = 5ms, Average = 4ms
One thing:
Because I looking at my VPS with Remote Desktop, a lot of upload must be take place to send the screens to my pc. Does this affect on the latency of the EA, when placing orders etc.? Yes, I know I can close Remote Desktop connection, but I want first to see possible errors, etc.
Anybody here using a VPS and follow its trades with Remote Desktop. Does the upload of the screen data affect the results of the bot?
