small loss big account, good win small account. modification times were decent on both. different brokers though, different feed. spike had a very small retracement so MDP done a decent job tightening SL.

Just a quick note....
I have noticed recently that when I have all 4 trades open (running 1.5% risk with max trades of 4) and the market moves against MDP.....i get the red warning background for margin call alert (on IBFX it kicks in a 125% margin level). I hope I never have to find out, but I believe that in a 50:1 leverage account.....1.5% risk at a full stop loss may be triggered at the same point of a margin call. I just had an idea that may possibly keep from losing lots of money due to run away bad trades.....

Make losses, but always come out a winner at the end.

So You use default settings and fixed lots ?

Hi, I'm new to this MDP community. I just started running MDP via IamFX with default settings
and a $300 micro account. I find that it does FEW trades, only 6 for the whole week, and NONE
on Friday, the 18th. Do you think this is due to the small account size?
Also, is anyone running the other currency pair EAs by MDP? Results/Opinions? Are they worth the xztra $$?
Thanks!

no the amount is not a factor, have a 100$ account and MDP works.
what is your leverage?
MDP trade if conditions are good for him, which include a good spread. so if the spread was high when MDP try to trade, he didn't trade.
display the information on the MT4 , you'll see important warnings and statistics associated to your account.
also take a look at the log, maybe MDP try to trade, but the broker didn't accept the requests, and do too many requotes.

Thanks willgart, on IamFX, my leverage is set to 400:1 on my Demo and Real accounts. Right now I am only Demo-ing MDP.
I believe the setting 'Verbose=true' is what you are talking about.(?) I'll do that this week and report here.
BTW, William Morrison explained the slow number of trades as a Flat market right now and things usually pick up when there's News and other volatility.
I was asking about the slowness because it seems many folks here are reporting alot more activity on their MDP than I am seeing.
Anyway, another week of trading is about to start and I'll reply to this thread on my results next weekend

Sorry, I should have posted this as a separate inquiry:
Is anyone running the other currency pair EAs by MDP? (ie., GBP/USD and EUR/JPY)
If yes, may I know your Results and Opinions? I like that they can be applied to the same
MT4 account and work simultaneously. William M. said you can run more than 1 of the EA's
at a time - but I've asked himfor more specifics on this.
Thanks!

Normally I'm not so chatty, but I must correct a mistake on my last post:
The other MDP EA is USD/JPY, not EUR/JPY.
It's reported by W.M. that EUR/USD performs best, followed by USD/JPY, then GBP/USD,
but would still like to hear others' results....

YOu should turn verbose off to prevent a large monster size data log file from developing ,unless you have a need for it to be on. Thought you might wanna know this. The log file size will over fill most VPS drives in a few weeks with just one platform running version 1.2 and that will lock up most VPS servers unless you contact support or buy more space.

I suppose Old tick = Old price, you try to open position on price which does not exist (was actual few ms. before). I suppose you shoul improve your connection speed(your PC od VPS should be as close as possible to broker server you are connected) or to set up slippage (but it makes your possition less profitable).
I just soppose, its not for 100%
