Oanda MT4 doesn't allow to use trade comments (it changes your comment to the system one once pending order is opened), MDP or any other robot that relies on using trade comments won't have any control of its trades. MDP uses both comments and magic numbers. Once you start trading higher lots Oanda won't permit order modification as well. All is well described earlier in this very thread. Those who don't learn on experience of others must learn on their own.

i have read your earlier posts on this thread to learn about your experience with oanda, but apparently i wasnt able to reach all of them since i didnt come by these info you just mentioned, but anyway thanks for your help :)
what broker are you using btw?

I have a need for a few people to help me test a scalping EA thats running well on back testing on EUR/USD and 5 min chart. Its not a MDP clone, Its short and simple. I can send you the raw mq4 codle, Just looking for a few people that like to back test. I will have it preset with the best settings. All free, just email me through my web site, so I dont get in trouble for spam.

I am a system designer also, this is my best effort to date http://www.myfxbook.com/members/NewMillenniumInc/nmi-super-scalper/207694 which is itself now making some good runs on real money beta test accounts that you could be experiencing for yourself now if you took up my offer a little while back (now closed). I was interested in how it would go at your broker, but now have no doubt how it would go.
It naturally follows that I (humbly) consider myself proficient at backtesting and especially analysis/development of scratch built EA systems. Ive tried and failed more than a few times! not an unfamiliar story I am sure for any designer 😁
I'd be willing to take your EA for a spin/test so long you provide some guidance as to what the settings do, otherwise I'd be like a blind man stumbling about without a walking stick inside a big black box (pun intended).

you'll found some real and demo accounts.
the spread as to be low more than 2 is not recommended; 3 prohibit it.
yes, get it, and its only 1 account per license.

and to answer your questions, yes there is a lot of live account (not all are posted in myfxbook or other site like this one)
MDP is my most profitable EA, so yes, get it.
timeframe? there is no choice, its M1
spread, like I'm saying before, lower than 2pips is better. I have an ECN account with an avg spread of 0.7. its good.
use only 5digits accounts on fast execution broker.

Hi Fred I found that mb trading is offering lowest spread on eurusd. Do u know if they are any good with EAs and sply mdp?
On ur earlier post u said ibfx was good. Since I live in Sydney I wud prefer that but there spread is high compared to mb anf fxpro.
I have bought mbp today and wondering if u can suggest me some settings too.
Will appreciate ur response .

for success with MDP the spread is not the most important thing (as long as it is not constantly over 2 pips). As I wrote before, order opening and modification times of the broker are. Please read more in this thread. Regarding MBTrading, the last I heard was that they are not good for MDP because of these high order handling times.
- Don't go with the brokers that are recommended at the MDP website.
- Some settings of mine are in the general tab of the respective account.
The good thing with IBFX(AU) is that they are duly regulated and in business for a long time and you can get high spread-rebates. I am getting 0.71 pips, see my profile.

Thanks Fred. I have aplied mdp to my demo ibfx aus account . I also noted ur general settings and applied them too but still I get this error: Hard stop trailing is not valid in conjunction with fifo? No trades yet. What to do?

are you constrainted by the FIFO rule in your account? IBFX AU should not constraint you....
so if your account is not a FIFO one, disable the FIFO option.
or disable the hardstoptrailing option if you suffer a FIFO constraint (US resident constraint, or rule applied by US brokers)
then check the demo account to see when there is some batch of trades. MDP didn't trade too much.

thanks. i disabled hard stop trail then the diagnostic error said ; ecn cond not met: fifo:true.
should i disable fifo and enable hard stop instead? cheers!
