It is active. But to tell you this is high risk trading. I recommend if you have extra money, then do it. Because you might be unlucky to suffer massive DD when you just get start, I am the one. =.=

But i have noticed their trading style is so bad, i mean trade management. Even if i trade blindly, i am still able to do better. In fact, recent month for the 2nd level of entry is quite fine now compare to last time before the massive DD of this account. If they still maintain the strategy of last time, i believe we have few massive DD in last week, as you can see the transaction.

P.S: I bought this EA without using my own money. That why i bought.

Hi Joe,
You might want to read back a few dozen pages. There was an event. Of which we shall not speak. As far as I know, there hasn't been any contact from SPhantom since then.
But the trades, they do keep coming. And some of us are still here, watching, curious, tweaking our gameplans, taking our wee pips. I personally remain intrigued, so I'm still here and am learning a few things from some of the esteemed traders in this forum. And when it gets really boring, you can usually count on someone to say something really stupid :)
But as for buying the EA, well, do your research first. My guess is they'll gladly sell it to you. But don't count on support. And don't assume they'll be around forever, whatever the website says.
Best of luck!

Are you sure sPhantom will change the owner name? and email address? Typically you buy the right to use these systems and not the right to transfer ownership. Not saying it won't. Jut saying he better DYODD.

There's no need to change owner's name or email address, all the new owner needs is the email account address and password of the previous owner to log into the sPhantom website, and from there he can change the registered MT4 account number to his own MT4 account number, very simple process really.

Anyway, let me know if you are interested Joe, or anyone else for that matter. I bought 3 licenses but now I think I really only need two.

Brendan;

Not arguing, jut curious at this point. I assume you have 3 licenses all under your same username and email address? So when you sell one and give them access to your account info at sPhantom, then haven't you expost facto lost control of all 3 licenses? They could change any of them at any time. Yes, you can change them back, but is that a tug of war worth screwing with when theirs open trades?

Just making sure you're looking out for yourself here...

If you can enhance the sPhantom signal, why not try to make your EA which is similar to sPhantom?😈

Gee, what a thoughtful response. Your attitude is only exceeded by your childish ignorance. It never ceases to amaze me. I go to YOUR page and there is nothing there. No history, no experience, and no sharing of any systems. Yet you come here and take cheap shots that you think are witty? Go talk to cowpoop and jarora. They'll get off on your humor. i don't.

This is not enhancing the signal dumb ass. Its simply looking a the historical trades that have been made in live trading and evaluating the intra-trade draw down of each trade. Let me give you a simple example so even you may understand. A system made 200 trades, and 199 of those trades had a max open draw down of 40 pips but were all ultimately profitable, and one trade experienced a 250 pip stop loss . If you set your stop loss at 35 pips, every single trade would be a loser. if you set your stop at 45 pips, every trade would be a winner except 1, and you would have limited your loss on that 1 loser to 45 pips instead of 250. I made this overtly simplistic so maybe you'll at least grasp the concept. In reality you have many different intra-trade draw downs. By reviewing every real trade you can calculate the best place to run a stop loss based on those historical trades. This is not changing the signals in any way. It is merely using the available data and developing the money management aspect that most EA providers do not consider. I have seen losing systems made profitable and good systems made better through money management. So, if the historical data is available, why not use it to your advantage?

If you want to review and critique the actual results, please do so. If you're just here to just sling mud, go crawl back under your rock.

I was REALLY interested on MEA/MFE analysis some time ago, run lots of simulations in different platforms, including my own.
I would say that it's now about making a better signal, you can build a very successfull system based in a random signal by optimization of RRR and MEA/MFE.

In the long range every signal has a 50% success rate; it's still random no matter how good a backtesting looks.

It is possible to get a statistical edge (winning probability over 50%) - sPhantom did that, but not with a proper risk management. I mean, without any risk management. :)

This robot starts to freak me out. Opening a second trade in the same direction is a very stupid thing, unless you are trading manually and find a context where you can enter with a very small SL to the second position.

I can't stand the fact that this robot does something I don't know. Maybe I should start working on my own EA or start manual trading or whatever.

NOTE: I have posted the StopReset EA earlier, here is the link again: http://ubuntuone.com/5CD24GOx9nByfFJ9oTUk7A
Others have recommended the Swiss Army EA for the same purpose.

Hello,

how do I use the Stop EA in MT4?
Installation or copying where? Do not know nothing about that

regards

Ohhhh Tommy!! You did jump in at the deep end with this animal!! Sounds like you don't have much experience and you've just stepped into the ring with an angry bull !!

- Copy the text at the link and paste it into note pad.

- Save it in the Experts folder of MT4. Should be somewhere like- C:\Program Files (x86)\MetaTrader 4\MQL4\Experts

- Then rename it to sphantomstop.mq4

- Close and open MettaTrader

- The Stop EA will then show up in the navigator window on the left hand side of MT4

- Just drag and drop it to put it on a chart.

PM me if you need further help.

And Please be careful. This thing bites!!

HI !

I'm a customer of sPhantom.

I installed the EA but it's not seen in the list of EA (in navigation window)

In the register of MT4, you see this error:

cannot load library 'CheckAccountType.dll' (error 126)

How can I do?

I tried also at install the EA on VPS, and on HOME PC, but the same error occurs.

The EA does not appear in the list.... and I don't load in the graphic. :-(

It sounds like you're installing it in the same place as we used to before build 600. That does not work anymore. You will have to turn on the windows feature to view hidden files to see it. Build 600 and above makes a new file directory in c:\user\Your_Username\appdata\roaming\metaquotes\terminal. There are files with really long numerical names. Open any one (there is one for each mt4 installation) and there is a notepad file. Open it and it will tell you which MT4 the files associated with. If you're in the right one, continue to the MQL4 directory. The structure here will now be similar to what you are used to.

Was thinking...... sPhantom has been quiet so far this week. . . No trade so far??????? Then I realised!!!! How silly of me. There haven't been any impotent news events yet this week!!! It probably won't trade until the 26th. 😇

some update on "entry shift" idea.
previous order was not trigered and shifted entry was missed by 0.5 pip (20th Mar)
today shifted entry was trigered and now I have position 10 pips lower of original, so potentialy 20 pips profit instead of 10 pips

According to my plan posted some days ago, i have manually closed the buy trade of this noght with a "slight" loss of 14 pips and switched off the EA, because, as explained, in my opinion it is too danfgerous to let it run during UK session! I would ask to other partecipant how they are dealing with the current trade! They are relying on the backtests made by other users and so running it "naked" or someone else closed manually the trade or setted some other customized s/l? I am posting this not because i pretend to be right (probably s-phanto will close also this trade in slight gain), but only to understand how other partecipant are dealing with this "EA"!

What this EA need are extra levels of recovery, having just two levels is just not as safe or efficient as multiple levels of recovery points.

corre, as I wrote, my first entry is 10 pips lower, and by coincidence new tp for both trades now is exactly at first entry. so I;ll get 0 for first entry and about 20 pips for second. I have reduced lot size to minimum so even if euro will drop dead now, will not have big loss. but according almost 1 year stats there was no problems with UK session except the one opened right before FOMC minutes.
