The advantage using proper risk/reward can be seen here in the results.
This EA using soft martingale strategy with 1:2 or 1:3 risk/reward.
Entries are based on identifying swing high/low's.

Ending the week with a good result and an open trade at +100 pips on EURGBP.
Let's hope the next couple of weeks the EA can maintain the current trend.
Set file adjustment is due end October after the 3 month cycle.

I'm not real familiar with the martingale strategy, but this is I think the first one I've seen use stop loss orders. That's good.

The SL helps a lot with draw downs and the 1:2 risk/reward helps a lot with recovery

We currently have 2 open order of which one (AUDUSD) is a recovery trade.

Some orders closed sooner than expected and we are up 1,39% for the day with one order hitting SL.
EURGBP still well in profit and will let ea manage it.
Might still see that recovery trade come through this week to end the week above 2% profit.
Remember, I'm not following an aggresive money management plan and the goal is to keep the draw down as low as possible.

So far we are up 2,8% for the week with 3 open trades of which EURGBP is a new order and the other two are recovery trades. Hopefully they will close tomorrow and we can close the week +3%.

Starting this week with equity just over 20% and 3 ooen trades at +3,4%.

After some performance analyses I have decided to remove EURUSD from my portfolio for now as it has been one of the weaker performers and I have replaced it with USDJPY, which is looking quite promising.
Let's see what happens during the next month or so.

Going through a bit of a draw down, currently -2,67% for the month.
Recovery trades should start coming through during this week and next week as they always do
