Australia Wage Price Index Climbs 0.8% In Q3

(RTTNews) - The wage price index in Australia was up a seasonally adjusted 0.8 percent on quarter in the third quarter of 2025, the Australian Bureau of Statistics said on Wednesday - in line with expectations and unchanged from the previous quarter.

On a yearly basis, the index climbed 3.4 percent - again unchanged and matching forecasts.

Private sector wages were up 0.7 percent on quarter and 3.2 percent on year, while public sector wages rose 0.9 percent on quarter and 3.8 percent on year.

The largest industry contributor to quarterly wages growth was health care and social assistance (+1.5 percent).
