It definitely should be. Every beginner should do demo trading to start.

Yes even suggest that to all beginners. Demo is one of the best ways to practice and test strategies, without staking funds.

Right, but with time and practice one can get through easily, if he/she gains good amount of knowledge and practices consistently.

I agree on that; scalping may seem more difficult to newbies. Rest, it all depends on skills and knowledge.

That's true! Spreads and the major trading requirements are a major ingredient that goes into successful trading,

Selection of a book solely depends on your style and trading requirements. So you yourself will have to choose one wisely. As fas as my suggestion is concerned, I would suggest you to use a demo account side by side. So along with reading from books, you can try whatever you learn practically on your demo accounts.

That's a great advice. Bringing consistency in one's trading returns is what matters the most. But traders somewhere focus on how big their returns are, which is not good if seen from long perspective.

Agree with you. High leverage, if tackled with care, can really hike up our overall trading experience. This is why I chose Turnkeyforex as my broker since they have very good conditions, plus they provide leverage as high as 1:500, which is just a great help while trading.
Very tough business.

Couldn’t agree more. Managing risk is only that demarcation that takes you to losses or profits. Traders missing this part of trading hamper their success.

lol. I do trade in offshore (with turnkeyforex, lmfx, fxchoice in hands) and can recommend the same, but if he's very new to forex and non-US, then I don’t see the need to go offshore.

Many fail to achieve profits in this field, that’s right. Now there can be various reasons behind this, but the majority one, I think is greed. New traders and even some old experienced ones are stuck to think that forex is a money making machine that will give them returns in seconds and this greedy nature often forces them to over trade in forex. No! To master this field and get consistent returns you will have to be very patient and trade keeping practicality in mind and not greed. This is lacking in most of us, which is why traders tend to loose here.

Money management is one of the most crucial parts of trading and yes, I have seen many traders who take this part very lightly and then later, loose good amount of their money. A good trader/investor should always be very careful about putting his money into any venue.
Very tough business.

Yes, rewards are great, but depending on what preparation has the beginner done before starting to trade.
