Selling of profitable EA make sense!?

I totally agree with that. We have developed our own ea, which is profitable. We also purchase ea which we think worth to analyse their strategies. We have develop few different ea by this way, and all of them profitable. So from my point of view, you have to be as good as those vendors to analyse their ea's strength and weakness, to know how to use their ea and when to use and when to stop. You also need to know your portfolio's strength and weakness to pick up right ea in order to cover your portfolio's weakness. Put simple way - make your equity curve smooth.

Some people don't realise that selling ea doesn't mean vendors give up something to obtain quick money, selling income is extra with no cost, their ea still theirs. They still run that ea on their own account if it is profitable. And at same time boost their account from 1k to lets say 50k. The only thing they need to worry is the ea not been decompiled. So some of them use mqllock to avoid been decompiled.

By go through history test with tds, I find the 2 critical elements to make this ea successful are:1. its winning rate is around 48%-53%2. its rr ratio is about 1.4-1.6now here is my question, the winning rate will be lower if we setup maxopenposition=1(usually 5% lower than we setup maxopenposition=3), so it looks like the second and third trades average up the overall winning rate. Is that possible we can get higher winning rate if we skip the first trade and just open second and third trades?
