I'd add it's also good for testing new strategies. Testing every random idea one gets in the shower on a live account is probably not a good idea. 😁

The daily candle didn't end up as an engulfing one once it closed after all, even though there was a sharp pullback from 0.9020. We'll see how it will develop on Monday.

I have two rules when it comes to using SL - one is to have a broker where the spreads to don't widen randomly and the second is to avoid trading during news events altogether, because in that case spreads do widen a lot, even if your broker is good.

Like Tiffany, as far as I know, if you want to have a swap-free account you’d need an Islamic account. That said, keep in mind that although you don’t pay for a swap with Islamic accounts brokers have other ways for making money off them. While no interest is paid on overnight positions traders are usually bound with additional account fees.

I think this is a very subjective issue. Different people have a different idea what is considered profitable. For example, if I do 1% to 5% of profit per month I am terribly pleased, but others would scoff at such results and wouldn't consider them nearly enough.

I closed my long at 0.9000 - I didn't dare keep it open above that. And good thing that I did, whatever profit I had would've been gone now if I hadn't closed it.
