I agree. The best way - the only way, if you ask me - to learn Forex (as well as anything else, really) is to watch the professionals do it, try to imititate them to the best of your ability and practice, practice, practice. The more you practice, the easier it will become.

True, they don’t seem to have abandoned Metatrader 4 completely after all. MetaQuotes said it has launched a coupon service for users of the MetaTrader 4 (MT4) and MetaTrader 5 (MT5) trading platforms. The new service enables brokers to support clients who wish to purchase applications and services for the platforms. (https://smnweekly.com/2017/03/02/metaquotes-launches-free-coupons-for-paid-mt-services/)Traders can receive from their brokers coupons and use them to try for free MetaTrader services that are otherwise paid.

Trading one's own currency isn't always the best of ideas, depending on where the trader lives. They could be trading one of the exotic pairs, and that is not always easy.

That should have been “before I consider opening shorts”. I can’t believe I conflated the two, sorry. I was definitely referring to short positions.😳

That is the big “if”, isn’t it? Figuring how when to place a trade and in what direction.

I think I’d wait until it climbs near 0.8850 before I consider opening longs.

They also paid another $650,000 settling a court case brought on by the CTFC in relation for undercapitalization in connection to the January 2015 Swiss franc volatility event. It’s important to have a trading plan, period. And that plan should include when is the best time for one to trade.

After the Financial Conduct Authority capped leverage to 1;50 and banned trading bonuses in the UK, now the Irish financial watchdog follows suit. In order to protect the interests of retail clients, the Central Bank of Ireland (CBI) is considering two options in relation to the distribution of CFDs: To ban the sale of CFDs to retail clients altogether, or to introduce enhanced investor protection measures. I view news events as showtime, to be honest. The kind that requires a bowl of popcorn. I don’t really have the courage to trade them, I just sit back and watch the show. 😳

@CrazyTrader I was seeing a double top on the 1-hour time frame. Often such patterns are a prelude for a short-term retracement. Sorry, I should’ve specified. Either way, it’s not a double top anymore, the pair climbed above it.
