It's clearly forming a flag at the moment, which is normal after such a big drop.
Beginners - Kill your emotions

Killing one's emotions seems like a good plan in theory, but it's very hard to achieve in practice.
After Brexit . . .

The UK referendum was just the beginning of the long process we call "Brexit". Keep in mind that the referendum itself isn't even legally binding, but the UK will still likely leave the EU. There will be months of negotiations now, and who knows what else. Which means that in turn there will be news coming out affecting the market.

I was going through the Brexit tag here again (https://smnweekly.com/tag/brexit/) to check for the same and it's kind of a mixed bag. Some are returning to the old trading conditions, some are keeping the hiked up requirements. Thankfully, all brokers so far report that they are financially stable after the market crash last week.

I agree, it will take quite a while for things to return back to normal, unfortunately.

Pick a broker that's regulated by one of the big regulators, even the FCA, despite the current problems in the UK, and make sure they offer trading microlots.

I agree. There's a hanging man on the four-hour Gold time frame, I think it will start dropping. All positions I open for the time being will be short-term though.

That's an understatement. It fell with 1500 pips, which is a disaster in my opinion.

That was my point exactly. Trying to trade a trend, with long-term positions especially, after you've missed its beginning is an exercise in frustration.

Is it bearish? People would continue to flock to Gold for safety in the coming weeks. I don't think it's very certain right now how bearish Gold is.

Some brokers at least are happy with what happened (https://smnweekly.com/2016/06/24/saxo-bank-brexit-best-day-markets-20-years/) because of all the volatility caused on a previously dead market. I don't know, I think it would've been better if we could that particular kind of volatility.

I didn't trade at all, to be honest. I'll probably start again on Monday.

I agree, too much risk for not nearly enough reward most of the time. I'd avoid trading Brexit too.

That, unfortunately, is pretty big IF. Spotting the beginning of a trend is one of the most profitable, but also one of the hardest skills to learn when trading.

Why am I not surprised that the only brokers who don't want to take any measures to protect their clients during the referendum are the ones regulated by CuSEC (https://smnweekly.com/2016/06/21/exness-easymarkets-go-trend-keep-margin-requirements-unchanged-brexit/)? And all with the promises that volatility during Brexit will give people the opportunity to make more money.

Gold is still testing 1280, but it also formed doji candlestick on the daily time frame. I am starting to think it really might be bearish.

I am not so sure, it might still bounce off 1280.
