If you have to ask that question, you probably don't want to use them. Seriously.

How many pips should a reasonable trader make a month?

I believe that you can only make as much as the market allows you to make. You can't force the market to give you a set amount of pips each month. Considering that the currency markets are cyclical / seasonal setting a monthly target is just setting yourself up for failure. I.e. having 3 trading days left in the month, and only being half way to your target, you'll probably end up taking trades that aren't really there, and taking them way over leveraged.

I meant to say that the thread starter's previous account took a 80%+ drawdown before it was deleted.

It would be great if we could see an account taking these trades, instead of just "ideas". Otherwise its just a plain waste of time, and clogging up the forums with more worthless gibberish. But judging from the fact that the account took a massive 80%+ drawdown, the results would probably be no different. Based on how the thread starter was asking for his trade ideas to be proven wrong, and giving arrogant rebuttals to people trying to answer objectively, its obvious that the fundamental rule of being humble to the market is blatantly flaunted.

Its a pity you deleted your account history. I was following it with much interest as nobody on this entire site was able to provide strong argument proving that you were in wrong trade, and all your trading ideas looked so promising.

@pt49 : Thanks for the reply. I currently have that arrangement with my broker. For a moment there, I thought you meant that each client would have an individual account. What are the implications of this arrangement ? From what I understand, only a portion of the total funds would be "protected" as a certain amount would have to be released to the broker to hold the positions.

@pt49 : Do you mean that by law the Australian brokers are required to open a segregated bank account for each and every client, or do you mean that there is a single segregated account in which all the clients funds are placed ?
