Loses are inevitable and part of every business. But the intensity of loss can be reduced with proper risk management. True above said that high risk leads to high profits and without certain degree of risk profits cannot be earned. Losing professionally is not bad for trades; instead a trader must learn from his own losses and boost his trading further. A loss can also acts as a motivational factor when utilize in right direction.

Agreed with everything except 'high risk leads to high profits'. The rule of the game is keeping your risk small and increase profit.

Happier with the approach of avoiding over trading by not going into a trade unless you have all the reasons to believe it is a winner. and be ready to jump out once it shows reversal to that. My sin has always been over-trading and guessing where the market will go as a result of the fundamentals. Just getting over this after about two years of small but persistant negative to gains tp Loses (g2l) ratio. Avoiding over-trading and not considereing guessing trading but rather gambling has helped greatly improve the G2L ratio.

That is right but imagine that you minimize risk by putting tight stop loss on every trade.
Wont you loose the game at the end with number of small losses?

Yes, high risks can bring about high profits provided only and only if one is confident enough have proper knowledge and risk management techniques. With respect to high risks it is meant a considerable amount to risk so that it can bring sufficient profits because if we don’t risk at all then also profits cannot be there. Obviously risk must be kept upto that level only which one can easily bear.

No risk = no game
Low risk = the way to follow position initialization
High risk (at beginning) = ruin
High risk (with gained profit) = real money!

Tight SL has definitely been my most serious cause of losses. Strategy now is to open SL while sitting at the trades and only getting tight if within acceptable profit range or leaving trade open while not attending it for one reason or another.
